Abstract:

Malunggay (Moringa oleifera) plant is abundant through the Philippines. This plant is growing

anywhere in the country. It has becoe the bu!! due to the discovery of its any nutrients. Theresearcher tends to study on edical value of Moringa oleifera in lowering blood glucose.

This study was perfored to deterine the effectiveness of Moringa oleifera leaf e"tracts in

lowering blood glucose. The e"periental ice where weighed and their blood glucose weretested using a glucoeter before the e"perient.

The ice were fed with condensed il# using the gavage ethod for five ($) consecutive days.

All the ice gained high blood glucose after the procedure.

%ifferent concentrations of alunggay leaf e"tracts& '$ $* +$ and * were prepared.

These e"tracts were treated to three (,) ice each as treated to the four groups of ice.

%ata analysis revealed that there was a significant difference in the ean blood glucose level ofwhite ice when sub-ected to various levels of alunggay leaves e"tract the lower the blood

glucose

The findings confired that the alunggay leaf e"tract has a hypoglyceic property that can beused as hypoglyceic drugs. Thus it can be used in treating diabetes.
