A traditional side lock action shotgunequipped with “Holland & Holland”type locks with double trigger andautomatic ejectors. This gun, which isassembled and finished by LebeauCourally, exists in 12 or 20 gauge ver-sions and can be chambered to 2 3/4”or 3”. The barrel lengths are 69 cm (20gauge) or 71 cm (12 gauge). This is the luxury version of theBAR MK1, assembled in the CustomShop. It is available in all the usual

calibres in “Battue” or “Affût” ver-sions.

BMM African

Based on the Mauser system anddeveloped in conjunction withErnest Dumoulin the great bolt-action specialist, this rifle has beenoversized to adapt it to the Africancalibres : the diameter of the 3 lugrotary bolt has been increased to 19mm. The reinforced breech box hasbeen countersunk and prepared forscope mounting. The integral mag-

azine can hold 4 cartridges and isequipped with a hinged floor platewith a transverse cut-off, exclusiveto Browning. The Browning MauserMagnum is notably manufacturedin .416 Rigby, .500 Jeffrey and .505Gibbs calibres.

BMS

Cartridges are ejected by means ofa hammer-operated mechanism,the only system which guaranteespositive, powerful and regularejection. Only spent cartridges areejected, thanks to an ingenioussystem of rods operated by thehammers as they drop.

The bolt is large and made of onepiece.It is adjusted to suit the actionframe that receives it to guaranteeplay-free action.The bolt is adjusted to bear at pre-cisely where it should: on the bot-tom face of the groove of thebarrel locking lug.The bolt lever is adjusted in such away that the shooter can tell fromits angle to the line of sight thatthe bolt is bearing correctly and isnot fully closed.

In 2003, Browning launched a hunt-ing version of the B525 Classic, the5th generation of the original over-and-under shotguns designed byJohn Moses Browning. This model retains all the character-istics that have made Browningover-and-under shotguns the mostappreciated guns in the market. Following the introduction ofthe hunting B525 in 2003, therange is naturally being developedthis year in the Sports shootingfield. In fact, it is a complete rangeof B525 Sport which see the lightof day with numerous versionswhich reveal major innovations:

• the new barrels are now cham-bered in 3" which allow steel shotto be fired, for the models fittedwith adjustable, "Invector" typechokes. These same "Invectors"are also new, as they are going tobe made of "stainless steel" fromnow on, which makes them lightand sturdy to improve patterns.

Legia Phœnix game cartridgesBrowning is proud to present its Phoenix range of high quality hunting cartridges.Retaining the essential features that were so appreciated in the old Legia range, this newcartridge will give entire satisfaction for hunting all types of game. The Phoenix range ofcartridges are available in the following weights: 34g, 36g Ni, 42g Ni and 53g Ni. All of thecartridges are provided with a 20mm nickel-plated head to avoid any risk of corrosion andthus ensure that your cartridges remain in perfect working order even after several sea-sons at the bottom of your cartridge bag. Because we are concerned for the environment,all of the cartridges in the Phoenix range are provided with a photodegradable wad whichdecomposes much faster than traditional Polyethylene ones.
