From the Director of Co

Dear Residents,

Spring has finally arrived and before we know it we’ll be enjoying the nice summer weather and all of the community activities and events. South Jordan is a great community to live in and I encourage all residents to check out what your City has to offer this spring and summer. Some of the highlights include the following:

The South Jordan Fitness & Aquatics Center continues to offer fitness and aquatic programs throughout the entire year. In April the aquatics center completed the installation of new pool toys – come check them out and enjoy the warm water!

Warmer weather means we move outside for a variety of additional recreation programming. Youth and adults can participate in a variety of outdoor programs such as tennis, soccer, softball, and baseball. Mulligans Golf and Games continues to offer many golf programs for golfers of all ages and abilities - come and sharpen your skills or just have some fun. And don’t forget about the miniature golf - a great escape for friends and family.

Summer nights are perfect for a variety of community events for your enjoyment. Some of these events include the traditional Sights and Sounds of Summer – Friday nights’ concerts and movies in the park, Country Fest and later in the summer don’t miss Saturday Farmers Market at the Towne Center Plaza.

I hope that you’ll take advantage of these programs and the many neighborhood parks this spring and summer. And we have a couple new parks coming to the community this summer – Sunstone Park and Holt Park. Watch for these and many more programs in this Leisure Guide, the South Valley Journal FOCUS, the South Jordan City App, Facebook, Twitter or go to www.sjc.utah.gov.

Enjoy your spring and summer!
