HOW TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT?

There will be two full days of parallel sessions of technical sessions on sulphur and sulphuric acid. Each presentation will be given 30 minutes and time is set aside for extended Q&A discussion period. Oral presentations may be given in English or in Russian (translation will be provided) but written papers and abstracts must be in English.

Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the technical steering committee chaired by CRU. The committee consists of experts from the sulphur and sulphuric acid industries, who are tasked with directing themes of presentations and ensuring the quality of abstracts and presentations submitted. The committee is looking for new and interesting papers from both operating companies and contractors/technology suppliers.

We are looking for papers in the following areas:•Newtechnologydevelopmentswhich,thoughnot

proved so far, offer the realistic prospect of significant economic advantage in plant operations;

•Plantoperators’experienceinthecommercial-scaleapplication of improved technology, equipment, catalysts and/or operating and maintenance practices;

•Operationalproblemsandtheirsolutions; implications of environmental, health and safety regulations

for plant operators and strategies for compliance.

Your paper for Sulphur 2012 will be accepted on the definite assumption that you will submit a full formal paper (consisting of a coherent English text with appropriate illustrations) in time for it to be included in the book of preprints. If you do not comply with this requirement, your place in the programme may be offered to a reserve speaker. Therefore, if you wish to speak at Sulphur 2012, please make sure that you are able to dedicate the time required for preparing a paper before submitting an abstract.
