These VCC models use a single-stagerotary screw air end, featuring Sullair’srugged bearing design: tapered rollerbearings on the discharge end andcylindrical roller bearings on the inlet,for high load-carrying capacity. On stan-dard models, the air end is warrantedfor a period of 5 years(1). On 24KT™models, the air end is warranted for 10 years(2).

Air quality is one of thebest in the industry

While others claim a low carry-over or 5ppm, Sullair’s LS com-pressors offer a carryover rateless than 1 ppm, the lowest inthe industry. Sullair’s MSSdesign uses a sump design,which allows use of oversizeddual nested separators.

Sullair Optimizer Air/Fluid SeparatorA high-efficiency separator thatwill pay for itself (during thelife of the separator) in reduced compressor fluid carryover andelectrical power consumption.

The compression volume varies tosuit the air demand by progressivelyopening or closing internal bypassports on the air-end.

Capacity is matched to systemdemand, reducing cycling time andextending component life.

Part load capacity and efficiency canproduce energy savings up to 17%.

Variable Displacement Air-EndSullair’s variable displacement air-end maintains constant system pres-sure to the plant. Since the VCCcompressors use large, efficient,slowrunning rotors, a lower power con-sumption is achieved at the top endof capacity. Oil foaming does notoccur, air is not wasted to atmos-phere, and bearings last longer.

The motor and air-end run at opti-mum speed and therefore maintainoptimum efficiency throughout thefull variable output range.

Sullair VCC compressors reactinstantly to rapid changes indemand. The effective rotor lengthis progressively reduced as thedemand is reduced which providesthe most efficient part load controlsystem to 50% output.

This system is extremely simpleand provides a cost-effective, ener-gy-efficient control alternative.

Variable CapacityCompressors saveyou power. The compressor displacement ismatched to the output need. TheVCC technology assures precisionoperation for virtually any part-load point. It provides significantpower savings at part-load condi-tions, compared to compressorsusing suction throttling, or load/noload control.

Increases capacity controlefficiency.By activating automatically whenthe unit is operating under partialload, and allowing the compres-sion of only the required quantityof air, the spiral valve increases theefficiency of the compressionprocess.
