Foley has shared the stage with BB King, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy and George Thorogood, to name just a few. She’s been awarded a Juno, numerous MapleBlues awards, and received many international blues accolades. Foley was an active blues scene member in Ottawa, where she grew up, before relocating to Austin, Texas, after renowned blues club & record label owner, Clifford Antone, offered her a recording deal. Karp, a gifted American troubadour, master songwriter, ac- complished guitar and piano player, won acclaim for his “Shadows and Cracks” album. His songs have been compared to John Hiatt and John Prine’s whilst his guitar and slide licks are reminiscent of Freddie King and Elmore James. He personifies the amorphous Americana sound, seamlessly blending blues, folk and roots with a healthy dose of humour! “He Said She Said’ features songs which started as a simple email and letter correspondence, and turned into a collection that chronicles an evolving relationship between two enor- mously talented writers and performers. Sold-out crowds across Canada and the States have enjoyed previews of “He Said She Said.” The songs are at times simple, intimate, surprising, touching and funny. They consist of elements of folk, jazz, flamenco and blues. ‘He Said - She Said’ is a unique, daring idea beautifully executed by two talented, inspired artists unafraid to express themselves in songs of love, hope, longing, emptiness and frustration. A masterpiece.” Blues Revue Magazine Selections: Also available from Stony Plain Records: BPCD 5115 Peter Karp “Shadows & Cracks”
