Craig Conrad….The Unstoppable You Program
Craig Conrad from the Unstoppable You Program spoke to the citizens of Harper CO. on March 1-2, 2012. Pictured is Craig and a youth volunteer. Craig asked the Youth Volunteer to break one stick and then try to break a bundle of sticks. This exercise symbolized the importance of a community working together to fight underage drinking.
Craig Conrad engaging the audience
Craig asked the audience to raise their hand if they knew someone that had a drinking problem.
EVERY hand in the audience was in the air…even our youth

There were 540 people present the night of Town Hall Meeting.
320 of them were the youth of Harper County
This Town Hall Meeting was the most successful one the coalition has organized.
Attendance at Town Hall Meeting
Craig was a school teacher for 26 years. His experience as a teacher made this particular presentation unique. He clearly understood the difficulties communities face that fight underage drinking. Craig spoke to the community about social hosting and social access. He encouraged parents and community members to not host parties for the youth with alcohol present. He spoke to the youth about the dangers of underage drinking. He shared personal stories of students he taught that chose to drink underage age and the consequences they suffered. One story was of a 16 year old boy that killed 6 people in a car accident and is now in prison.
