STORY AND PHOTO IDEASDo you have an idea for a photo or story? Please contact the news department. We invite suggestions from all our readers. Because of the high demand for these pages, news releases for briefs or full stories should be submitted two to three weeks before the event.

E-MAIL OR FAX CONFIRMATION FOR NEWSROOMIf your information is time-sensitive, we encourage you to call us (563.588.5637) to confirm receipt. If requested, we will verify receipt of e-mail with an e-mail reply. Further, when submitting an e-mail, please be sure that the subject field mentions the TH and your type of information. For example, instead of entering “press release” in the subject field, write “For TH calendar of events,” “Release for TH sports” or “XYZ Club news release for TH.”

Getting news and information into the TH is easier than ever using thonline. Just click the SUBMIT button and you’ll see how you can get word of an upcoming event into our calendar, pass along news tips or suggest a great photo opportunity for our photographers to check out. Got a question

about our community? Ask the TH. We answer reader questions throughout the week in this Q&A on the local news pages. Use the SUBMIT button to send your questions or voice your opinion in a letter to the editor. Obituaries, photos and story ideas can be submitted here as well.

Other options for submitting information:e-mail: [email protected] mail: Telegraph Herald • P.O. Box 688 • Dubuque IA 52004-0688Hand-delivered to our office (on Bluff Street, midway between Eighth and Ninth streets)

We want to publish your club’s or organization’s event. You can submit event details by going to THonline.com and clicking the SUBMIT button. Submission of information for the calendar does not constitute a request for TH coverage or notices elsewhere in the paper. If you have an event that you think will interest readers outside your general membership, please contact the news department to speak to a section editor (news, features, sports) in advance.

OBITUARIESIn most cases, we work directly with funeral directors. Obituaries, which include biographical information, lists of survivors, memorials and photographs, are paid articles published at a per-inch rate. Brief death notices are published at no charge. The deadline is 5 p.m. Obituary information may be submitted by e-mail to: [email protected]
