You  can  submit    a  draQ  of  your  disserta2on  here  and  s2ll  revise  it  at  this  stage,  before  the  administrator  sends  it  to  ProQuest.    NOTE:  once  submiCed,  you  will  not  be  able  to  see  it  un2l  it  is  reviewed  by  the  administrator—DO  NOT  upload  another  disserta2on—contact  the  administrator  if  it  is  not  promptly  made  available  to  you.  

Submission  Instruc2ons  

1.  Be  sure  that  you  have  a  PDF  of  your  disserta2on  with  the  abstract  and  the  signatures  of  your  director  on  the  abstract  and  the  director  and  your  commiCee  on  the  disserta2on  

2.  Then  choose  your  subject  categories.  These  will  be  the  keywords  to  find  your  disserta2on  in  a  search  

3.  Then  click  “Con2nue”  

The  next  page  goes  over  your  publishing  op2ons…

Proquest/UMI  gives  you  an  agreement  to  read  and  “accept/decline”  buCons  

at  the  boCom  

In  the  agreement  page  there  is  also  a  set  of  guidelines  for  how  to  

prepare  the  document.    

PhD  candidates  ,  take  note  and  follow  guidelines  to  avoid  revisions  later  

Once  you  accept  ProQuest’s  terms,  you  enter  your  contact  informa2on:  

No2ce  that  you  can  navigate  on  the  leQ  sidebar  links,  and  this  helps  you  know  where  you  are  

in  the  submission.  Do  not  use  back  buCons;  it  could  cause    errors  in  your  submission    

Be  sure  you  keep  ProQuest  current  on  your  address  if  you  want  to  

receive  royal2es  

Next  you  enter  the  informa2on  about  your  disserta2on…  

…including  your  advisor’s  name,  department,  commiCee,  keywords,  subject  categories,  a  copy  of  your  abstract  (see  forma&ng  hints  if  you  want  to  bold  parts,  etc.,)  and  

primary  language.  Save  and  con2nue  aQer  carefully  rechecking  your  informa2on.  E.g.,  be  sure  your  abstract  is  fully  entered.  

Upload  the  disserta2on.  It  will  not  be  submiCed  un2l  the  administrator  

at  MUM  approves  your  upload.  

Read  carefully  the  informa2on    

about    embedding  the  fonts.  Review  

the  very  complete  help  pages  if  you  are  not  sure    you  have  done  it  

PhD  Candidates:  this  is  another  thing  to  do  right  the  first  2me  

The  next  page  is  the  supplemental  files;  e.g.,  permissions  from  publishers

You  can  request  that  ProQuest  register  your  copyright  (strongly  

recommended)

Next,  specify  the  copies  that  you  want  to  order  for  yourself

Submission  summary:  automa2cally  reports  anything  leQ  undone  

Once  you  submit  your  disserta1on  and  suppor1ng  materials,  it  will  be  submi7ed    

in  turn  to  the  administrator  for  

review.  If  it  looks  OK,  I  send  it  to  

ProQuest/UMI
