Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, founder of Pranic Healing has shared this key technique as it was originally created and develops the key principles in the book Super Brain yoga. As students of this technique, we are most gracious! This exercise and technique is just amazing. Feel the smiles, grounding and happiness come on. This method is also known as Thoppukaranam In tamil Nadu, India, usually done before Vinayakar(Lord Ganesha), and asking him to forgive for all the mistakes. Ganesha is a deity that is known to overcome all obstacles and has a beautiful story, moreover a large belly since he has all of that is in the universe within. The Key elements of the Super Brain Yoga procedure are instructed in the video below and highlighted below; - Right arm over left - Thumbs over the front of the ear lobe more effective than behind - Inhale on the way down in rhythm - Exhale on the up in rhythm - Tongue to the roof of the mouth (ideal for optimum energy and closing energy channel opening here + inner connection) - Do not do SBY 2 days prior, during or after menstruation - Children, Adulst face East ideal - Elderly face North ideal, if squatting isn’t available, do SBY seated visualizing squatting up and down - For people who need extra help or desire to improve intelligence repeat 21 times per session - For Arhatic Yogis, or people who do advanced meditation, repeat 7 times per session is enough - SBY can be practised twice to 3 times daily. Do not overpractise and truly trust your intuition as you do not want to become congested. - Ideally purification, keeping the physical and energy body clean, clean practise and lifestyle are key, You know what that means people …. moderation and clean lifestyle, avoid smoking, avoid excessive alcohol intake, addictive or hallucinogenic drugs must be avoided, avoid eating pork, fish with no scales.

Some benefits and effects;

- Increase your energy on performing Super Brain Yoga at least 15-20%

- Energises and Activates the Brain and increases intelligenve over a period of use. The increase in intelligence is also demonstrated in some of the studies that have been done also available in the Super Brain Yoga book.

- Stress relief, Energizes and activates the brain, heart, throat, ajna, forehead and crown energy centers. As lower energies go up past the heart center, they are transformed into inner peace. Energizes and regulates nervous system.

- As energy goes up to the throat, ajna energy centers, they are transformed into pranic energy, for great intelligence and creativity

- As energy goes up to the forehead and crown, they are transformed into pranic energy of spirituality and utilized by the brain for its proper functioning.

- A great way to regulate sex drive in teenagers.

Super Brain Yoga, due to it’s actual effects and benefits over a period of time certainly has illustrated effects and benefits of academic improvement. The Super Brain Yoga book from pranichealing.com contains several studies where academic improvement has been indicated, shown and proven.The studies show academic and behavioral improvements, advanced academic proficiency and improved behavior after the studies having applied Super Brain Yoga (SBY), more focus and ready to take tasks at hand, some children between ages 5-9 (study 4) with ADHD and ADD as diagnosed /labeled by doctors also after one month were noted to be more focused, displayed less negative behoavrios and can follow multi step directions with less verbal cues and guidance, also displaying social skill improvement. Other studies on EEG (which is the same type of brain wave present in meditation studies you might have seen or read about in Transcendental meditation for e.g), show increase amplitude in the parieto occipotal region of the brain following SBY. This infers to increased brain electrical activity following the brain exercise.

You might also know that the Telsa stated that the brain functions at 6-8 hz as does the frequency of the earth. Thus grounding with bare foot as a minimum certainly helps us feel more connected as well as helps remove some of the craziness of waves and frequencies 30mhz and greater we experience from cell phones/Electromagnetic frequencies, E Smog, other forms of stress, toxins in the environment which are generally higher frequency than our grounded, connected, balanced state etc.. which causes STRESS.Grounding is also very key and this SBY exercise also enables effective grounding during the process.Other forms of grounding can be experienced by swiming in the ocean, walking bare foot outside on the grass, earth, walking on the sand at the ocean, receiving Natures energies like earth, wind, water, sun. I also have a grounding mat which I occasionally use.Given my personal experience, I would say Super Brain Yoga has an adaptogenic effect, benefit including neuroplasticity experienced with the ability to adapt alot better to many different circumstances that life may throw at an individual.
