Oracle Announces the Availability of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 Update 2 This new update became generally available on November 5, 2010. EnterpriseOne 9.0 Update 2 is compatible with tools releases 8.98, 8.98.1, 8.98.2, 8.98.3, 8.98.4.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 Update 2 contains two new products and a number of enhancements.

The new products included in Update 2 are both within Supply Chain:

• Apparel Management Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Apparel Management delivers complete management of complex product assortments throughout the entire supply chain for distribution and manufacturing companies. Apparel Management uses allocations to support dynamic order prioritization when meeting demand at the detailed level – style, color, size and more. Manage product scarcity, buffer stocks, size balancing and top/bottom management for consistent deliveries. Allocation lets you define priority rules to ensure your style items are disbursed across sales orders effectively. Apparel Management works in many industries and is not just designed for fashion and apparel companies. Examples from different market segments with products having broad multi-attribute parameters across color, style and size include automotive suppliers, consumer goods, consumer electronics, life sciences, pulp & paper.

• Fulfillment Management JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Fulfillment Management addresses situations in which enterprises cannot fulfill all of the orders for their products. Their product supply may be less than the demand or manufacturing planning may not occur until the demand is known. Fulfillment Management can also help when there is variability in the manufacturing process. The purpose of Fulfillment Management is to fulfill orders in accordance with specific criteria established by the client. This product includes the ability to set priority order scores, service level rules, automated process that fulfills inventory based on these rules and review quantities then make necessary changes.

Enhancements within in Update 2 include:

• Date Utility JD Edwards EnterpriseOne has abundant date tracking and date effective fields designed to help manage many aspects of running your business. This utility (available and recommended for all releases from Xe forward) will allow JD Edwards EnterpriseOne users to find specific effective dates and update them as needed.

• Journal Entry Void All Financials customers will benefit from the improved ability to manage void transactions. The new features will reduce errors and manual workarounds, improving the overall efficiency and accuracy of void transactions.

• The Hire Act JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Payroll customers will be able to take advantage of Employer Social Security tax relief as provided by the HIRE Act. The Hire Act is designed to stimulate the economy by providing tax benefits to employers who hire unemployed workers.

• Integration to Primavera Contract Management This construction project management solution is for the engineering & construction and oil & gas industries, as well as other project-oriented organizations. This new pre-built

integration helps deliver end-to-end job costing, enabling organizations to follow best practices for budgeting, subcontract management, change management, issues management and payment expedition.
