circular base on the H.P. A section plane making an angle of 45º with the H.P
and passing through the mid point of axis cutting this cone.Draw its front
view, sectional top view and true shape of the section.
5. A square pyramid having 40 mm base side and 60 mm height is standing on its
base on H.P such that its base sides makes an equal angles with the V.P. A
section plane inclined at 45º to H.P and perpendicular to V.P is cutting this
pyramid by passing through the mid point of the axis of this pyramid.Draw front
view, sectional top view, and true shape of the section.
6. A triangular pyramid having 65 mm base side and 75 mm long axis is standing
on its base sides is parallel to and nearer to V.P. a section plane inclined at 30⁰

base is cutting this pyramid.Draw its section plane and true shape of the
section.
ASSIGNMENT 04
PROJECTIONS OF SOLIDS
1. A square pyramid edge of the base 25mm and height 60 mm rests on one of its
base corner on H.P with its axis inclined at 45º to H.P. If the top view axis is
making an angle of 30º with the V.P than draw the projections of given square
pyramid.
2. A cylinder, diameter of base 50 mm and height of axis 70 mm, rests on H.P on
its base rim such that its axis is inclined at 45˚ to H.P and top view of the axis
is inclined at 60˚ to the V.P. Draw its projection.
3. A regular hexagone pyramid, side of base 40 mm and height 75 mm is resting
on one of its triangular faces on the h.p and the edge of base contained by that
triangular face makes an angle of 30º with the V.P .Draw its projections.
4. Draw the projection of a cone having base diameter 50 mm and axis 60 mm
long, when it is resting on the H.P on a point on its base circle in such a way that
one of its generators is perpendicular ton the H.P and plan of its axis makes an
angle of 45º with V.P
5. A cylinder base 50 mm diameter and 70 mm long has its axis parallel to and
30mm above the H.P. and inclined at 45º to V.P .Draw the projection of this
cylinder.
6. A triangular pyramid of 40 mm base sides and 50 mm length of axis is standing
on one of its base side on the H.P such that the triangular face containing the
base side in H.P is perpendicular to H.P. if the side on H.P makes an angle of
45⁰ to V.P then draw its projections.
ASSIGNMENT 05
