ON AN ENGLISH ESTATE

Based around one of our beautiful private country estates and

the manor house or private shooting lodge, this experience

enables you to enjoy a day in the life of an English landowner.

You are invited to step back in time as you meet and spend

time with the magnificent birds of prey and their handler.

You will have an unrivalled opportunity to experience the

power, elegance and grace of these amazing birds of prey. You

won’t be watching from afar, you will handle, feed and fly a

stunning array of different birds, to have a full appreciation of

this royal sport that has been enjoyed by our Kings and

Queens through history.

You will see what birds of prey are designed for and

appreciate their natural behaviours and witness some truly

breath-taking flying. This is an amazing opportunity to watch

the Harris Hawks and Falcons demonstrate their exceptional

skills.

If you choose the full day with the birds, the afternoon will

highlight their hunting skills. Your falconer will demonstrate

how to work with the birds to make the most of their intuitive

hunting skills. Working in tandem with the birds and the

working cocker spaniel, the falconer encourages them to use

their pinpoint accuracy and flying skills to identify and

capture their prey.

Stonor Park Manor House has the rare quality of exuding

the warmth of a family home while giving you the feeling of

being part of history as you step into the house. Home to

Lord and Lady Camoys’ family for over 850 years, Stonor

Park is one of the oldest family homes still lived in today -

but it’s no museum. As the oldest member of the Stonor

family, the house has a thousand stories to tell. As well as

being architecturally fascinating, each room contains a

lifetime of experience and anecdote.

A stroll through this house is a vivid walk through history.

Highlights include the grand Gothic revival hall,

atmospheric 17th century library and the dramatic long

gallery opening on to beautiful Italianate gardens.

We can arrange wonderful private tour where you will be

entertained by the stories of the American arm of the family

through to those who were imprisoned in the Tower of

London during the Reformation.

You can then make the most of the stunning parkland of the

estate as you enjoy the amazing art of falconry, the sport of

kings for generations. A delicious lunch can be hosted in the

striking main dining room or offsite at one of our fabulous

traditional pubs.

Nestled into the Chiltern Hills, between Henley and Marlow

and just up from the River Thames, Hambleden village can

only be described as quintessentially English and just an

hours drive from London.

Your experience will be based around a beautiful

Buckinghamshire estate and its private shooting lodge, this

experience enables you and your friends to enjoy a fabulous

day in the English countryside. With mature beech woods,

rolling pastures and parkland, the estate is in the heart of the

countryside and is the perfect setting for a day of country

pursuits.

The private shooting lodge is just stunning and it will be

yours for the day, if you choose, for a welcoming hot drink

and delicious lunch. Alternatively the Stag and Huntsman is

a local pub dating from at least the early 19th century, this

charming public house has a cosy country pub vibe and the

restaurant sources fresh produce from the estate and serves

rich and indulgent grub.

I was inspired to launch Humphreys of Henley by my love of the English

countryside. I was brought up in the Cotswolds and currently live in the

Chilterns. My desire is to share the hidden wonders of these places that are so

often missed by visitors.

Our guests provide our proudest moments, when we see their eyes widen in

amazement at the majesty of a hawk in full flight, or their absolute joy when

they shoot their first clay from the skies.

When we plan your itinerary with you, we identify each detail that will make

the day totally memorable for you. Your passions and interests are at the
