However, the same as any other free-flowing dress, its comfortable, loose fit can become a problem when it gets windy outside. Many girls have realized that wearing Spanx or shorts underneath flowy dresses is essential to avoid flashing people. However, if you are looking to upgrade your outfit, you can swap the plain basic shorts meant to be hidden for a pair of denim ones meant to be seen, just like this Fashionista did. This added shorts twist works with the white collared top especially well as it is reminiscent of our favorite classic button-up and denim shorts combination. This outfit gives the Fashionista the option to wear this piece as a regular dress or adjusting it to look like high-low blouse by tucking the front of her shirt into the shorts. This added layer can also give her maximum comfort and confidence when walking around campus since she knows that she is covered. Because the blouse is such a gorgeous statement piece, this Fashionista kept things simple with the rest of her look. She opted for a pair of chunky heels , which could be worn for either day or night. If you wanted to make this look more casual, you could just swap the heels for sandals. For her hair, the Fashionista added some soft waves, which worked well in contrast with the crisp structure of the shirtdress. My style advice for this week is to experiment with the shirtdress in new ways. Wear them with shorts
underneath, jackets over top, shirts or bralettes underneath or any other unique combination you can think of.
Taking full advantage of layering will help you find endless new outfits in your closet. This can be done with your
other dresses as well! Stretch the limits of your closet and see what new looks you can find in the clothes that you
already own.
