All are welcome and we will have childcare for those with kids who want to come out! Please feel free to take one of the books and make sure your name gets on the list. Simply make your donation for the book in your tithe envelope this week or next and mark it “Samaan Book”. Metro Mid-week is in full swing as we study about “Heaven.” You don’t want to miss these exciting presentations. Plan to come out and bring a friend! All-church Picnic is next Sabbath. August 11 th at Maybury State park off 8 mile road. This park requires the state park pass which can and should be obtained before Sabbath. We will be using the Hickory shelter to the left as you come down the main entrance. This is a picnic style lunch. Bring what you plan to eat, share if you like. Metro Youth Group is headed to Rolling Hills waterpark! All families are invited to attend (especially all kids ages 13 and up!) Mark your calendars….August 5 th ! Waterpark hours are 11am – 8pm. Michigan Men Of Faith, 9:30 AM, Sabbath, September 8, 2018: THE FAITHFUL MAN – Our keynote speaker this year is Pastor Samuel Thomas Jr., who has ministered globally in Australia, England, New Zealand, Jamaica, Canada, India, Zimbabwe, Bermuda, and Kenya. Currently, Pastor Thomas serves as Director of the New Leaf Prophecy and Doctrinal Learning Center, Director of Philanthropy, and Senior Pastor of the Columbus Central SDA Church in the Allegheny West Conference. Breakout sessions will be presented by Elder Jim Micheff, Justin Ringstaff, Kameron DeVasher, and Nathaniel and Jacob Gibbs. (Bring your own lunch. We will not be providing lunch this year). Calling all Pathfinders – Attention! If you or your young person will be in grades 5-12 and you enjoy learning camping skills, first-aid, march & drill, and participating in outreach activities, if you believe it’s important to “be a servant of God and a friend to man,” we would like to invite you to join the Metro Rangers pathfinders club. Abraham’s Other Son Seminar: Please plan to join us this afternoon for more presentations and some light refreshments. All are welcome and we will have childcare for those with kids who want to come out! Please feel free to take one of the books and make sure your name gets on the list. Simply make your donation for the book in your tithe envelope this week or next and mark it “Samaan Book”. Metro Survey! Here are some key findings: 78% attend Sabbath School regularly. 95% of people feel a benefit from attending Sabbath School. Area of improvement: Increase our focus on missions. 17% attend Metro Mid-Week regularly. 33% believe providing supper before Mid-Week would improve their attendance. Suggestion: Stream Mid-Week for those who are unable to attend. If you would like a more thorough report of the survey, hard copies of the responses are available in the hanging folder opposite the Pastor’s office. Thank you to those who participated in Metro’s Survey!
