Career Opportunities

There are opportunities for employment at higher supervisor/lower management levels within sports and leisure centres, health and fitness clubs, in sports development or as personal trainers. For example opportunities exist for roles as Fitness Manager, Studio Manager and Personnel Trainer.

• We aim to produce coaches with a passion for their profession and the ability to develop and teach both novices and elite athletes.

• We have close links with local sports clubs and partners that will provide you with excellent opportunities to be involved in high quality sport and sports coaching.

Sports TherapySports Therapy

Students are encouraged to undertake periods of clinical practice, on and off campus. Students who have demonstrated their clinical competence will qualify for full membership of ‘The Society of Sports Therapists’ and be able to obtain professional indemnity insurance. The programme is taught by specialists in their respective disciplines, which reflects the varied clinical expertise available within the department.
