The demand for qualified project managers has significantly increased in recent years. This demand comes from many industries including information technology, construction, engineering etc

This course is a management oriented course and is cross-disciplinary. It is for students who wish to manage projects in the business, management, engineering, construction and the information technology environments. The course will enable students to propose, plan and control all aspects of a project from proposal to completion.

Students will learn scalable project management concepts, methodologies and tools based on Project Management Institute’s best practice and confidently apply their skills and knowledge to meet their professional and organizational goals.

The project management expertise you will gain on this programme aligns with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) ®, as defined by the Project Management Institute, and is an internationally recognized standard.

The courses you will study will also prepare you to sit the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® and the Project Management Professional (PMP)® examinations.

PAY: Pay for project managers depends on the industry they work in. • Project managers in the information communication and technology industry earn an average of $94,000 a year. • Project managers in the construction industry earn $55,000 to $135,000 a year.• Project managers in the engineering industry earn $65,000 to $125,000 a year.Construction project manager and ICT project manager both appear on Immigration New Zealand’s long-term and/or immediate skill shortage lists, which means the Government is actively encouraging skilled construction and ICT project managers from overseas to work in New Zealand.

INDUSTRY PROJECT You will undertake a significant industry-based project, enabling you to gain vital practical experience in the real job market.You will have approximately 4 hours of class time a week for each course followed by approximately 10 hours of self-directed study.Our lectures are supported by our e-learning resources.
