Lets Cook Together

Cooking together is a funand social activity that isalways a hit withparticipants! It also

prompts the learning ofappropriate Englishregarding food, cookingand the kitchen.

Study English and Music in Ireland - Homestay Program is a unique program for youngpeople aged 8-15 including beginner language learners. Designed by professional musicianand educator, Adele O'Dwyer, the 2-week program offers a unique combination of languageand music learning in a beautiful Irish countryside setting. Combining language-buildingactivities through daily classes in English as well as participation in musical, recreational and

home-based activities, the program is designed to be intimate in nature with a maximum of 4young people accepted for each 2-week session. Based around four core elements, theprogram includes English and Music classes, Out and About recreational program and ourpopular Lets Cook Togethersessions.

The language immersion aspect of the Study Music and English in Ireland Homestay Programcomes about in a natural 'family oriented' manner as most of the day is spent in activities whereyoung participants are engaging with English speakers. It is not the philosophy of our programto prohibit the speaking of the mother tongue but rather to encourage and enable Englishlanguage usage through engaging activities and working with individual pupils in many differentways. The central focus of our program is to instill a desire and willingness to communicate inEnglish.

Homestay at Silver River providesan ideal environment in which to

grow and learn. Located in thebeautiful Irish Midlands, Silver

River Studios is a modern housesituated next to the Silver River

and 2 miles from the busy town ofTullamore, Co. Offaly.

Situated on 3.5 acres in thebeautiful Irish countryside, Silver

River is large comfortable home inclose proximity to nice country

walks and to the mountains. Thereis a tennis court and basketball

hoop on the premises as well asplenty of room to run and play

safely in the many gardens. Musicfacilities include a dedicated music

room with a grand piano.

The 2-week Program includes: full room and board private room accommodation daily English/Music classes recreational activities package airport transfers

There are a range of recreationalactivities to be enjoyed dependingon weather and the personalinterests of the participants. Forexample day trips to Dublin orGalway city; nature walks andcultural heritage day trips as wellas swimming, tennis or mini-golf.

Recreational music-making isalways encouraged andparticipants prepare an informaldemonstration concert for the finalnight to which parents are invited!
