“This is the power of gathering: it inspires us, delightfully, to be more hopeful, more joyful, more thoughtful: in a word, more alive.”

— Alice Waters

Consistently turning the mundane into the magical, Connecticut architect and artist Sandra Vlock repurposes weather-worn vintage mooring buoys into artistic “Fireballs” and steel plate into “Screen Plays” and other dramatic architectural elements. These custom, handcrafted sculptures delightfully transform indoor and outdoor spaces into intimate places - home, spa, destination resort or private retreat. Each installation defines remarkable social atmospheres. Vlock’s imagery is intricate and flowing; inspired by nature. The designs which are plasma-cut into 1/4 inch thick steel, glow when lit at night and emphasize transparency during the day. “Fireballs” are available in three sizes: 58”, 40”, and 28” diameter – wood, propane or gas fired. “Screen Plays” are custom sized to any fireplace or room divider.
