What is STUDIO School?

Studio School aims to:-

provide a theoretical background to digital sound recording andmanipulation familiarise participants with the studio systems hardware and

software build confidence in dealing with recording clients and managing

recording sessions enable participants to support the studio supervisor in the

professional management of recording services at La Motte

Street and train on-the-job

Our state-of-the art Roland M400 digital desk and digital snake is nowavailable to offer young people a true taste of cutting-edge studio

technology.

Come be trained on the use of our digital recording facility. Learn

about studio techniques and start the journey to joining our growingband of young engineers and producers providing services to bandsand musicians across the island.

The course covers the studio environment and equipment, the recording desk and controroom equipment, use of microphones and associated studio hardware, practical use ofthe M400 desk, REAC audio technology, advanced recording techniques and end with

providing recording services to a client in a real-time situation.

Those successfully completing Studio School will be qualified to provide recordingservices to La Motte Street clients at 16yrs of age and as and when opportunities arise
