STUDIO OSSOLA
Studio Ossola works since 1972 in the field of structural and
civil engineering, specializing in the coordination and
supervision of the various phases of the construction
process, from the conception of “business idea” to the
inspection of works, from planning and design throughout
all operative phases.
Studio Ossola employs a staff of qualified civil engineers,
architects as well as administrative personnel, and where
needed relies on a number of selected, highly-qualified
external consultants.

Prof. Ing. Francesco Ossola, was born in Settimo Torinese il 22 Luglio
1947, resides in Strada del Redentore n. 19, Codice Fiscale: SSL FNC
47L22 I703Q, with the office in Torino, Via Camerana n. 4, tel.

Academic and professional activities:
- He graduated in Civil Engineering from the “Politecnico di
Torino” in 1971 with full marks;
- He has been working as a qualified engineer since 1972 when
he registered with the “Ordine degli Ingegneri di Torino e
Provincia” (Turin Order of Engineers), n.2738.
- He is a tenured professor at the “Politecnico di Torino” in
Construction Ergotechnics, which is the study of the transfer
of methods typical of industrial production to the construction
sector. In addition is professor in “Production for construction
sector and management of safety in building site", and the
University Master about "Project Design and Management of
complex construction sites”.
- From 1992 until 1994 he has been the Assistant of the Special
Commissioner Prof. Rodolfo Zich of National Electronic
Institute “Galileo Ferraris” of Turin.
- He has been the Coordinator, from July 1994 until February
1997, of the Turin Polytechnic Project Quality Management
Nucleus, responsible for controlling the completeness and
quality of the project to double the size of the Turin
Polytechnic into the adjacent ex-O.G.R areas;
- He has been the Process and Project Manager (R.U.P.) from
February 1997 until 2011 of the above mentioned Turin
Polytechnic “Progetto Raddoppio” (Polytechnic expansion
project) [Total cost € 240.000.000]. In this role he managed all

the contracts conducted by the Polytechnic of Turin in that
period and has deepened all existing regulations and laws of
Public Works.
- He is Member of the teaching staff for the “Construction
Ergotechnics “ Ph.D. program at Polytechnic of Milan.
- From December 2014, Prof. Eng Francesco Ossola is Special
Commisioner for the extraordinary and temporary
management of the Consorzio Venezia Nuova, dealer of the
Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for the realization of
MO.S.E.’ project
As well as drafting over 60 publications, Prof. Eng Francesco Ossola
has participated in numerous International conferences such as in
April 2016 at the National Council of Engineers (Rome) – “Making-
Italian engineering, excellence for the Country” about the Large
Construction Projects and the Transformations; and at United Nations
(New York), regarding the Venice lagoon and the Mo.S.E. Project.
(high-level conference on the topic of “Fighting Climate Change:
Sharing Italy’s Innovative Technologies.”)
As the Manager of the Studio Ossola, he has been working
in the fields specified below since 1972:
o Project Design, Planning, Inspection and Testing of reinforced
concrete, steel structures and special foundations structures.

The so-called "transfer" transfers the total weight of the 32 floors above it and of 5
floors "suspended", free of columns, of the auditorium, at a mega-structure steel
transfer between the levels 6 and 7 which conveys the overall weight at six mega-columns of the base, in a mixed structure of steel and concrete.
