Japanese typical instruments are Taiko, which looks like a

drum , Shamisen, which looks like a gutar with three-

strings(below the picture) and Koto, which is about 180cm,

made from wood, and has 13 strings.

Ayumi Hamasaki , SMAP and Saburo Kitajima are famous

singers in Japan. We have some style of music, such as J-

POP, Rock, Enka, K-POP and more.

J-POP was very famous about 10

years ago, but now it might be

less famous than then. Recent singers

can't stay famous for long. Instead, K

-POP is getting famous in Japan. (J-

POP is Japanese pop, K-POP is Ko-

rean pop)

Russia – by Alexander and Anasta-

siya

Russian music includes many styles

such as ritual folk song to the sacred music of the Russian

orthodox church, and also includes the legacy of 19th

century classical and romantic composers like Tchaikovsky,

Rachmaninoff, Glinka, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and others.

Actually, each century of history is characterised by its own

style of music. There are lots of famous Russian composers

from the 19th century, who is still remembered and admired

nowadays. The 20th century is famous by 'pop' popular

music. The present day music is oriented to the Western

culture.

Burswood – By Shoji and Yuka

Burswood is a place where there is an entertainment city around Perth. You can go there from Perth using Thornlie Line in

about 10 minutes. There are so many attractions in Burswood such as restaurants, hotels, bars, and a casino. However, there

is one dangerous zone in Burswood, so I'll talk about some tips to enjoy Burswood.

You may suppose that Burswood is such an unapproachable place because of its luxuriousness. In fact, the price or charge

of all things at Burswood could be expensive, but there is one way to budget them there. It's a member's card, which is called

"Club Burswood". It should help you when you use those facilities, and it means that you can get several discounts at Burs-

wood. In addition to it, it doesn't cost you, so there is no hesitation to have it, is there? After having the member's card,

Burswood should be a user-friendly place.

On the other hand, Burswood could have an ‘un-user-friendly' area; you already know it, it's like a bank, a "casino". If you

haven't been to the area and wanted to go there, you should cut the connection with the devil in your mind, otherwise the

devil could help you to deposit all of your fortune at the "Bank of Burswood". I know

that one guy hasn't been able to withdraw his money from there, so I can only tell you

one thing, "Don't be such a poor man like him. That place is not for students studying

abroad."

Take care of your Burswood life, and enjoy it!

WWOOF Ecovillages are

a sustainable model of human con-

structions.

They are urban

or rural communities of people

who intend to integrate

a harmonious social life to

a sustainable lifestyle.

The ecovillage includes a lot of

practice in your organization such

as:

1. Local and organic cultiva-

tion of food;

2. use of renewable energies;

3. use of biodegradable

materials in construc-

tions (bioconstruction or sustain-

able architecture);

4. Social help for families and

society;

5. Cultural and spiritual

diversity;

6. Economic solidarity, coopera-

tive and exchange network;

7. Interdisciplinary and holis-

tic education;

8. Health System and preven-

tion;

9. Preservation

and administration of the local

ecosystems; Global and local communica-

tion and activism.

They mix the ancient and modern

societies' knowledge of preserva-

tion, science and philosophy to

live in harmony with the environ-

ment. Nowadays there are plenty

of ecovillages around the world

creating a huge awareness chain

of preservation which can help

people to reconnect themselves

to the Earth living in the natural

lifestyle without losing the mod-

ern social development.

Aiko; I want a boyfriend. Do you have one?

Yuka; Yeah, I have one. A; How did you meet him?

Y; I used to work at a cafe with him. He helped

me a lot. He's from Kenya. A; You're from Japan. You guys

are an international couple!! Are there a lot of

international couples? Y; Yeah, I know a lot of them.

A; Wow! That's interesting. How did

they meet each other? Y; I'm going to tell you about my friends who

are a couple.

A; I want to know about yours!

Y; NO, I can't tell you here.

A; Um...OK, tell me about your friends.

Y: He looked very handsome and he stood out among everyone. At the time he had been in

Japan for over 5 years, so his Japanese was really

good. We called him a prince because we didn't know his name. One day when we went to a

club, he was there and approached one of my

friends. They really enjoyed each other's com-pany and everything was great. After 4 years she

started thinking about marriage with him. But he still wanted to study a doctor course in the Uni-

versity. Since then their feel-

ings had separated little by little. She was really sad so she decided to travel to reset her feelings.

Fortunately the travel worked for her and she has

started going on a different path.

Although they broke up, they still have a good

relationship. Somehow he has approached her

again recently. So he is taking care of her a lot. I guess this couple's going to get back together

again. Nobody knows our fate in the future. A: Wow! I'm interested in their relationship after that!

Y: Yeah! Right! But unfortunately they are still

friends at the moment. It depends on her feelings though.

A: I hope they have good relationship.

Shopping on the Net – by Hayden ..... is a good shopping place for most of the modern people in the world.

It's using the internet to buy whatever you want to buy such as clothes, gloves,

hats and many more except foods. Besides that, we can also use the E-Bay to

sell whatever we don't want such as second hand games , handbags , wal-

lets ,and others. I know there are many people who know about E-Bay more

than me , this is because I am a beginner to use this web side to buy some

things and I also know that many people don't know this website at all or they knew about this but don't know how to

use it.

Let's me teach you all what is E-Bay and how to buy things on there. Firstly, E-Bay is such a good place

for most teenagers to buy some things such as clothes, shoes, games, technology, and many more. It's because every-

thing that is sold on E-Bay is cheaper than usual and it's not far cheaper but just slightly cheaper. Many people use it

because of convenient, they wouldn't have to go out shopping and carry all the things that they buy, if they bought on

E-Bay.

Secondly, there are some things we have to bid on it if we want to buy a cheaper one such as second hand things.

In fact, most of the things that we have to bid are second hand but not all of them. I think they will push up the price

as higher as they can, so we should be clever when we bid something because maybe the price

that we bid can already buy a new one. This is also the same with when we want to buy something on E-Bay, we can

play with the price as higher as we can but remember to be clever.

Besides that, the things that we buy on E-Bay will be able to deliver by post and it will be sent to us within

2 weeks I think. So, it's much more easy and convenient for some people. Moreover, we can use either credit or debit

card to pay the bill or we can also use pay pal to pay it and this is the safer way we pay the bill because having

a Security System to protect our personal profile is good. Of course we have to register first before we buy some-

thing.

Lastly, E-bay is a very good web site for us to shop, and being a modern people, we have to jump into the band-

wagon the sooner the better. Don't procrastinate again, try it now!!!
