Burlington United Charter

This school is designed as an open-concept learning envrionment for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic De Stilj movement, a repeated grid structure brings both organization and life to the design. I developed each space to optimize collaborative learning and encourage communication between students and teachers. N

Boston Public Library

As a library of the 21st century, this Alston location was designed to better suit the unique needs of today’s user.

The building, once a Cadillac showroom, features an ornate historical ceiling. By using a modern, customizable light fixture, my design respects the ceiling while opening the space into a large community facility. The mezzanine design pulls users in and enhances the feeling of openness.

SKFP LAW FIRM

This corporate work environment is designed to create a collaborative setting and impromptu meeting spaces.

Materiality and spatial quality highlight the entrance and public zones of the office. With interior glazing and clearstory windows to bring in light and take advantage of panoramic city views, the design is understated while creating a clean and comfortable space to work.

FP3 Loft Apartment

This high-end apartment is designed to perfectly suit the lifestyle of a fictional Bostonian couple.

My clients are a legal historian and a documentary photographer, who love to travel and collect items from around the world. I designed a dynamic wall of display and bookshelves, which weaves through their apart-ment to divide private spaces from entertainment area.

Revit Model - Jacobs House

As part of the Autodesk Revit training course, I created a digital model of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Jacob’s House.

The course experimented with many of the Revit Archi-tecture tools for creating 2d and 3d BIM models. Along with building the structure and topography, I was able to customized pieces, such as the fireplace.

Construction Documents

These are sample drawings from a construction docu-ment set completed for course credit.

I utilized Vectorworks software to complete plans, sec-tions, elevations, and details, along with other written and graphic information, to describe the design of a small office space.

Additional Design Skills

Several methods are available to develop drawings of a space, including both software and hand drawing skills.

While my studio projects represent my skill with Vec-torworks and Photoshop as rendering tools, I am also comfortable with Google SketchUp, sketching, hand drawing and hand drafting. These skills can help to bet-ter represent an idea throughout the design process.
