    On behalf of the Student Union team January 2016 semester it gives me immense pleasure to pen this mes-sage to the SU semester report. The sole aim to compile this report is not only to show the performance butalso to implement a cohesive and transparent SU repor ng system.

    It was a great opportunity for me to represent the whole student community of this great ins tute. I would liketo extend my hear elt gra tude to the en re student community of AIT, who have been behind our interest towork. We always considered student interest and student concerns as our prime mo ve and we alwaysworked with a mo ve of ful lling your needs and interests. We as a team tried our best to organize variousevents which made the students to indulge in all ac vi es and we hope all the events le a trail in the heart ofevery student.

    I would like to express my special gra tude to AIT administra on and OFAM for their kind support andguidance given to us. Further, I would like to thank the facul es and sta for their valuble services to SU andthe student community at large.

    A special word of gra tude to all the volunteers of di erent commi ees who worked really hard to bring outlively and memorable events.     STUDENT PICKUP SERVICEStudent Union Accommoda on and Reserva onCommi ee arranged a pick -up service for the newstudents coming from various parts of the world topursue their post graduate studies at Asian Ins tuteof Technology (AIT). Pick -up services were arrangedfor over 90 new students from 1 st to 3 rd of January2016 from Suvarnabhumi Interna onal Airport,Bangkok. Volunteers of SU Accommoda on andReserva ons commi ee were present at the airportto greet the new students and pick them up. A erthe pick up, the new students were allo ed withtemporary rooms inside the campus.

    ACCOMODATION LOTTERY & CAMPUS WALK

    SU Accommoda on and Reserva on commi ee

    together with AIT Accommoda on O ce organizedthe accommoda on lo ery for newly joined AITianson 4 th of January 2016. Students had to pick a lo erynumber from a box and they were then allocated onthe basis of their lo ery number.

    A er the room alloca on, SU Campus andEnvironment commi ee had organized a campus walkfor all new students. The campus tour was organizedto acquaint the students with the prime loca ons and

    landmarks of the campus. Students walked around thecampus exploring di erent cafeterias, classrooms,grounds and play -courts and other key areas.

    ORIENTATION DAY

    AIT administra on arranged the orienta on day fornew students on 5 th January 2016 in AITCC. TheDeans of di erent schools at AIT, VPAA and SUpresident welcomed and briefed the student aboutthe academic and non -academic life at AIT.

    WELCOME GAMES

    The SU Sports Commi ee organized welcome games for newly joined AITians on 12 th January 2016 at the AIT main grounds.Main aim of this event was to develop the harmony betweennew students and to introduce them to sports ac vi es insidethe campus. The event consisted of exi ng games such as TouchRugby, Futsal and Dodgeball. Over 80 new and old studentspar cipated in this event. The highlight of the Welcome Gameswas Dodgeball that drew the a en on of many students andwas enjoyed by everyone.

    WELCOME DINNER PARTY

    Welcome dinner party for new students was held on 15 th January 2016. Atotal of 95 new students par cipated in the event. The party started at 6:30pm with the welcome speech followed by SU members introduc on,interna onal group dance, games, Bollywood style dance, group song byThailand Student Associa on band and the crowning of Mr & Miss fresher.

    The formal event was followed by a party at SU Cafe organized by SU Assetsand Recrea on.

    THAI LANGUAGE SURVIVAL CLASS

    SU Academic A airs commi ee organized a basicThai Language course conducted by Mr. KamonRuengdet. It was a four -session course held from 19 th to 28 th January 2016. Around 100 students registeredfor the said course while up to 70 a ended theclass. Par cipants’ interest was developed throughdi erent games, while a quiz was also conducted atthe end for evalua on. Students who a ended arebelieved to manage the rou ne works in a be erway while engaging with local Thai people.

    WELCOME MOVIE

    SU Film and Entertainment Commi ee organized theWelcome Movie - “Cop Out” on 25 th January, 2016(Monday) for all the new students of January 2016at Milton Bender Auditorium. This event was anopportunity to all the new students to meet withnew friends and give a sense of warm welcome bySU as they will be new to AIT. The event startedfrom 7:00 PM and completed at 9:00 PM. More than80 people par cipated in the event including thevolunteers.

    The SU Film and Entertainment team entertainedthe audience with a ques on and answer sessionbefore and a er the movie, where exci ng gi swere given to students who answered the ques ons correctly. A er the movie had six ra e draws were heldto select the winners of with the four gi s and two Grand Prizes of 3D Movie Tickets.

    VISIT TO MAHIDOL UNIVERSITY JOB FAIR

    A visit to Mahidol University Interna onal College job fair was organized by SU External A airsCommi ee on 28 th January 2016. Over 30par cipants who were preregistered took part in thisevent. Through this visit AITians had theopportunity to discuss their career prospects withthe leading companies in Thailand. Several spotinterviews also held at this career fair.

    SU Academic A airs commi ee organized a mo va on seminar named “RevealYour True Poten al” delivered by Ms. Amelie Yan Gou es on 29 th January 2016.Ms. Amelie Yan Gou es is cer ed and accredited Associate Cer ed Coachby the Interna onal Coach Federa on and accredited member of the Asia

    Speakers Associa on. This seminar was di erent from our technology basedtradi onal talks covering mo va on and stress management issues. Around 80students were present at this event.

    MINI MARATHON & SLOW BICYCLE RACE

    The Sports Commi ee of the Student Unionorganized slow bicycle race and mini marathonon the 5 th February 2016. Both the events had2 categories Female + Children and Male. Theevent saw the par cipa on of a huge numberof people from the AIT community. Followingthis, the winners for the two events werepresented with medals, cer cates andtrophies.

    T-shirts and cer cates were given to rst 20female and rst 40 males nishers of the minimarathon.

    WELCOME TRIP

    The Welcome Trip organized by the SU Leisureteam was held on 6 th February 2016. Welcome tripwas organized as a one day trip to Dream Worldtheme park. Over 100 new students joined thistrip. Breakfast for the par cipants were served onthe way to the Dream World. Breakfast includedsandwich and the brownies, from the UFM BakeryShop. At the theme park students had theopportunity to experience many rides and showssuch as Sky Coaster, Raptor, Vikings, Hurricane,Tornado and so on.

    A bu et lunch was served for all the par cipants

    from the Dream World Theme park. A erexperiencing all the fun and the excitementwelcome trippers returned to AIT around 7.00PM.

    DJ BATTLE

    SU Assets and Recrea on Commi ee organized a DJCompe on named “DJ Ba le” on 29 th January 2016at SU Café. The main purpose of this event was tocreate a pla orm for talented DJ ar sts in AIT toshowcase their abili es and to create a fun andenjoyable environment for all music lovers. Sevencontestants par cipated for the DJ compe onwhere each contestant got 10 minutes to showcasetheir talents. The top three DJs were presented withcash prizes and the opportunity to perform in upcoming SU Café par es .

    STUDENT UNION EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ELECTIONS

    Con nuing the democra c process at AIT, the Student Union elec on for the execu ve commi ee of August2016 was held on 25 th February 2016 at Korea House. Two candidates, Mr. Raunak Thapa from Nepal and MissSobia Asghar from Pakistan competed for the posi on of vice president in the elec on. A huge voter turnoutwas observed on the elec on day and a and a total of 854 votes were casted. Mr. Raunak Thapa won theelec ons with 505 votes. Miss Sobia Asghar received 337 votes. The Chief Elec on Commissioner and all thevolunteers worked hard and ensured that the elec on ran freely, fairly and without any problems. Mr. RaunakThapa will be serving as the Vice President of the Student Union this semester and as the President of theStudent Union during the August 2016 semester.

    VALENTINES MASQUERADE

    Valen nes Masquerade organized by SU Filmand Entertainment Commi ee was held on13 th February, 2016 from 8:00 PM onwards inSU cafe. More than 300 AITians came toexperience the Masquerade party. The eventparty started 8:45 PM DJ playing the songswhich were dedicated by the guest to theirloved one.

    EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAINING

    SU campus and Environment organized the “The EmergencyResponse Training” on 13 th February 2016. The Purpose of theevent was to train the dorm representa ve for emergencyresponses such as Fire gh ng and also make the students aware ofthe hazard risks and how to overcome these risks. The rst sessionwas commenced by lecture on “Hazard Risks” by Dr.Indrajit Pal(Assistant Professor, Disaster Preparedness, Mi ga on andManagement (DPMM) and in the second session, hands on trainingexperience on re ex nguishers was carried out. This program wasuseful to everyone and they were able to gain knowledge abouthow to prepare themselves in case of emergency.

    FIRST AID TRAINING

    SU campus and Environment organized the “The EmergencyMedical Response Training” on 20 th February 2016. The purposeof the training was to train the students with the basic rst aid incase of emergency such leg injury, insect bites, snake bites, hearta acks etc. The demonstra on of Cardiopulmonary resuscita on(CPR) was the highlight of this session. It is a lifesaving techniqueuseful in many emergencies, including heart a ack or near

    drowning, in which someone's breathing or heartbeat hasstopped was clearly demonstrated and volunteers took partac vely and it was of great bene t.

    MATLAB WORKSHOP

    SU Academics organized a workshop on MATLAB(Matrix Laboratory) on 4 th and 5 th of March at MiltonBender Auditorium. The objec ve of this workshop wasto give students an exposure about MATLABprogramming and introduc on of commands fromvarious toolboxes. Over 60 students took part in theworkshop in both days. Hopefully the par cipants willbe able to start with the project and can grow further.

    SPSS WORKSHOP

    SU Academic A airs organized a workshop on Sta s calPackage for Social Sciences (SPSS) on 8 th and 9 th of March atMilton Bender Auditorium. Objec ve of this workshop was tohelp students to learn how to apply sta s cal tools inresearch. This Workshop was designed for beginner levelpar cipants to provide them an opportunity to learn SPSS.However, seeing the ac ve par cipants and based on feed

    back, we are planning to arrange advance level trainingsession for this package.

    COLOURS OF LIFE | CULTURAL SHOW

    The evening of 20 th February, 2016 saw the AITcommunity immerse in the Colours of Life - TheCultural Show. The event put up by the 40 dedicatedmembers of team Culture and Gender, wasinaugurated by Chief Guest Professor Dr. SivanappanKumar and judged by 5 dis nguished members of AITAdministra on and Faculty. This me, there werearound 11 countries par cipa ng in 8 di erentcategories. In total, there were 42 events with around200 par cipants from di erent countries, showcasingvariety of cultural talents found on campus. Myanmaremerged as the overall Champion with the highestpoints.

    SCAVENGER HUNT

    Scavenger Hunt organized by Film and Entertainment Com-mi ee, took place on the 13 th of March 1.30 PM onwards. 19teams, each comprising of 4 members took part in the event.

    This semesters scavenger hunt consisted of seven tasks whichtested the crea vity, team work, physical capacity and generalknowledge of the par cipants. Out of the tasks adventure,treasure hunt and sel e challenge were considered as the mostchallenging tasks. During this scavenger hunt, par cipants hadunique opportunity of playing golf to complete a task. The prizedistribu on ceremony was held at the SU Café. Winning teamswere awarded with cash prizes while consola on prizes weregiven to all the teams par cipated.

    CAMPUS CLEANING WALK

    SU Campus and Environment of January 2016 semester organized a“Campus Cleaning Walk” on 19 th March 2016. The main mo ve of theprogram was to raise awareness about the cleanliness around theplace where everyone reside and also promote a be er environment,be er tomorrow. The team mainly focused on the removal of plas cs,polythene, metal cans and any other types of objects that isconsidered harmful to the environment. The walk was commencedfrom Lawson 108, which was rst led by tree planta on. Twenty treeswere planted in the campus and then the cleaning walk was started, itincluded all the dorms areas such as standard dorms, category 3, 4, 5,student villages 1, 2 and 3, Sta housings, cafeteria area and then thewalk ended in Lawson. The walk was for about two and half hours, andended up with a group photo. More than 80 par cipants took partac vely in this event.

    SU Assets and Recrea on commi ee organized"ACOUSTIC NIGHT" musical evening on 26 th March 2016at SU Café . The main purpose of the event was tocreate a friendly pla orm among the musicians in AITand to allow them to showcase there talent in a partyatmosphere. The event commenced around 8.30 PMand ve bands performed songs in di erent genre inthis event. Over 200 AITians came to witness the

    musical talent in AIT and enjoy the acous c melodies.The band performances were followed by the DJ night.

    CAREER FAIR

    Career Fair organized by Career Center in collabora onwith the SU External A airs commi ee was held on 30 th March 2016 at AIT Conference Center. This semester’scareer fair saw par cipa on from over 30 di erentcompanies o ering internships and jobs for studentsand new graduates. The fair was a ended by aconsiderable number of AIT students who had a chanceto speak to the companies in person and submit theirresumes to them directly. A series of career talks werealso organized in parallel to the career fair.

    RESEACH EXHIBITION

    SU Academic A airs commi ee organized a researchexhibi on on 30 th March 2016 at AIT Conference Center.This was held in parallel to the career fair. Severalstudents from SET, SERD and SOM presented theirresearch and projects at this exhibi on. Out of theresearch work presented, best research in eachcategory and the overall winner was selected by a panel

    MINI OLYMPICS

    Mini Olympics of January 2016 semester organized and facilitated bySU Sports Commi ee was held from 10 th March to 1 st April 2016. Atotal of 21 spor ng events in di erent categories for both men andwomen were held during this me. This me Dodgeball and Cane ballwere introduced to the Mini Olympics for the rst me. For the rst

    me in Mini Olympics history, SU Media Commi ee together with SUSports commi ee live streamed nals and semi nals of several sportson Student Union TV.

    Sri Lanka emerged as the overall winners of Mini Olympics bagging themost gold medals at this semester’s Mini Olympics. The winners aredue to receive their medals and trophies on 7 th April 2016 during theAwards Night. A total of 21 coordinators and around 100 volunteers

    helped relentlessly to make Mini Olympics for January 2016 semesteran overall success.

    GAMING TOURNAMENT

    Gaming tournament organized by SU Film and Entertainmentcommi ee was held on 6 th April 2016 at SU Café. There were

    three games in which each of the team competed, Need forSpeed (a car racing game), Call of Duty ( gh ng game) and FIFA(sports game). Among these need for speed and FIFA hadindividual matches while the call of duty had team matches.

    Twelve teams each consis ng of four players par cipated inthe tournament. The teams which scored highest points in thegroup stage and the knockout stage were emerged as winners.A er 12 hour long gaming marathon “Team speed hunters”emerged as champions while “Team the thada boys” and “ Team

    galkatas” emerged as 1st and 2nd runners up respec vely.

    ESSAY COMPETITION

    World Water Day is an interna onal observance and an opportunity to learn more about water related issues,be inspired to tell others and take ac on to make a di erence. In accordance with that we have organized anessay compe on with a tle "Save Water, Save Life." It was a way to bring out the talents and crea vity of thestudents. There were nearly 15 par cipants out of which three best essays were selected and they wereawarded with cash prize. In addi on to it the rst essay will be published in the SU magazine.     PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

    The photography compe on organized by SU Media A airs com-mi ee was held from 22 nd March to 3 rd April. The theme for this se-mesters compe on was “Colourful AIT”. More than 30 par cipantssubmi ed 53 photographs for the compe on. The prizes were givenunder two categories based on the judges vote and the popularity.Winners of the photography compe on are as follows.

    Grand Prize - “Follow me AIT”(Kasvinda Kulathunga)

    Runners up - “Fes ve Colours”(Zar Aye Cho)Popularity Prize - “Beauty and the Beast” (Sameera Liyanage).

    FOOD FAIR

    This semester’s food fair held on 7 th April with its full fervor and zeal. 12 countries par cipated in the event andpresented their delicious food. The food fair was a compe ve event and there were two categories wherebythe par cipants competed. The categories were Best food and Best Stall decora on. For best food category,Myanmar food won the hearts of judges and were declared as winner in the said category, followed by Pakistanand Bangladesh as rst runner -up and second runner up respec vely. In Best Stall Decora on, Philippines wonthe rst price while Myanmar and Pakistan won second and third places respec vely. An eas ng contest wasalso organized in parallel to the food fair.

    AWARDS NIGHT

    Awards Night of January 2016 was organized by SU Film andEntertainment commi ee in collabora on with SU Sportscommi ee on 7 th April at AIT Conference Center. In parallel to

    awards night a movie screening was also organized by SU Film andEntertainment commi ee. The awards were of the Winners ofMini Olympics, Photography compe on, Food Fair and Gamingtournament. There were more than 500 medals, trophies andcer cates presented to Mini Olympic winners for variouscategories. Winners of Food Fair, Photography Compe on andGaming Tournament were awarded with a cer cate and cashprize.

    ACADEMIC OLYMPIAD

    SU Academic A airs commi ee organized Academic Olympiad on21 st April 2016 at AIT Conference Center. Twelve teams, eachconsis ng of three members par cipated in this event. Teamswere given tasks which tested their mathema cal, analy cal skills,general knowledge to the highest poten al.     HOW TO PUBLISH YOUR RESEACH

    SU Academics organized a workshop on “How topublish your research work” on 25 th of April at MiltonBender Auditorium. The objec ve of this workshop wasto give students an insight to the process involved inpublishing a research paper. Over 30 students took partin the workshop. Hopefully the par cipants will be ableto publish their research work from the knowledgegained from the workshop.

    SPSS WORKSHOP 2

    SU Academic A airs organized 2 nd workshop on Sta s calPackage for Social Sciences (SPSS) based on the feedbackgathered from the rst SPSS workshop. This event was heldon 20 th of April at Milton Bender Auditorium. Objec ve of thisworkshop was to help students to learn how to applysta s cal tools in research.     GRAND TRIP

    SU Leisure team arranged the grand trip for January 2016semester to Koh Samui island located in Surat -tani Province.The trip was a two -day ac vity scheduled on 9 th to 10 th April.160 par cipants including students, sta and volunteers tookpart in this trip. Grand Trippers le the campus around 7:00 PMon 8 th evening and arrived at Surat -tani province next daymorning. A er taking ferry to Koh Samui, par cipants went forsnorkeling and Kayaking in beau ful seas around the island.Breakfast and Lunch were provided for par cipants in the ferry.Grand Trippers enjoyed a all seafood dinner before going backto hotel in the rst day. On the second day of the trip thepar cipants had the opportunity to visit some local a rac onsin the island before returning back to AIT in the evening.

    GRADUATION BALL

    Gradua on Ball of January 2016 was organized by SU Culture and Gender Commi ee together with AIT AlumniAssocia on on 14 th May 2016 at AIT Conference Center. The night was themed as “007” based on the popularJames Bond movie series. This party was arranged for all the graduates of January 2016 semester tocommemorate the hard work everyone had put in. More than 400 guests including students and their families

    joined the event to made it a memorable one.

    The event was inaugurated by Prof. SivanappanKumar (VPAA), Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto (VPRD),Assoc. Prof. Somchet Thinaphong (AITAAPresident) and dis nguished guests of AITAlumni Associa on. A er the candle lightningceremony which marked the induc on of newAlumni members, prizes were awarded to best

    students of the three schools.

    SU Magazine which was compiled by SUAcademic A airs commi ee was launchedduring the Gradua on Night. This was followedup by the crowning of James Bond and Bondgirl. Ankit Rana emerged as the James Bondwhile Sumonna Chaithep was crowned as theBond girl. A er the formal event all thegraduates enjoyed the bu et dinner at AITCC.

    Marking an end to a memorable night theaudience was allured by the guest performanceof the Thammasat University Band followed byDJ Night.

    VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PARTY

    SU Team arranged an apprecia on party for the hardworkingvolunteers of January 2016 Semester. The party was arrangedin SU Café on 6 th May 2016. There were 234 students who hadworked voluntarily for student union in January 2016semester. Out of 234, more than 150 students a ended theparty. A er the dinner, cer cates were distributed to all thehardworking volunteers.

    LIVE MATCH TELECASTING SU Assets and Recrea on team arranged live telecas ng ofcricket and football matches in China Center. Matches of ICCWorld T20 and European Premier League were telecastedunder this ini a ve. Several other spor ng events weretelecasted upon the request of the students.

    IMPROVEMENT OF GYM FACILITIES

    SU Gym team for January 2016 have succeededin increasing the revenue of SU gym andthereby being able to bring new equipment togym and repair the exis ng machines. Two newmul func onal tness machines were added tothe gym during January 2016 semester. Morenew equipment are expected to be installedvery soon.

    INITIATIVESBICYCLE RENTAL SERVICE

    SU Campus and Environment commi ee with thecoopera on of the AIT Alumni Associa onimplemented a bicycle rental service for theconvenience of the students, sta , alumni, residentsand also outsiders. This service commenced on 5 th ofJanuary 2016. The rental charges are for student andsta - 10 THB/day, for residents and alumni - 15 THB/day, for outsiders - 20 THB/day and the refundable

    deposit- 1000 THB. This system was a great bene t tomost of the people in the AIT community.

    STUDENT UNION YOUTUBE CHANNEL

    Student Union Media commi ee launchedYouTube channel branded “AIT Student Union ”with the live telecast of the Cultural Show. Thischannel contains video footage of di erentac vi es of the student union and was also usedto live stream Cultural show and Mini Olympics.

    SU Academic A airs commi ee launched the SU Magazine on 14 th May 2016.Aim of this magazine is to re ect the iden ty of the AIT through the wri ngs ofits na onal and interna onal students and teachers.     LIGHT FOR LIFE

    SU Campus and Environment commi ee ini ated “Light for Life” program to create a safety awareness amongstudents to their bicycle at night. According to the AIT clinic, bicycle accident is the second most accident casehappening inside AIT campus. So, it has been highlighted that students inside the campus are using bicycle at

    night without any lights so that pedestrians and other bicycle would not be able to see them in dark andaccident occurs. A ques onnaire was circulated through google forms and the person with best answers andwho really understood the purpose was selected and they were awarded with light which can be installed inboth front and back of the bicycles.

    LIVE STREAMING OF MINI OLYMPICS

    For the rst me in history of Mini Olympics Student UnionMedia Commi ee live streamed nals and Semi nalsselected sports (Volleyball, Squash, Badminton, Table Tennis

    and Tennis) on AIT Student Union YouTube channel. duringthe mini Olympics season. On average more than 150viewers watched the nals and semi nals of abovemen oned sports.

    INITIATIVES

    EVENT EVALUATION

    SU Jan 2016 took the ini a ve to receive feedback from students and par cipants to record and evaluatestudent union ac vi es and events. Some of the ac vi es organized by several commi ees were subjected toevalua on from students through online survey. The results are compiled and passed on the next commi ee, inorder to minimize errors and improve the quality of SU service in the future. It is expected that future studentunions will evaluate all the ac vi es and enrich the values of services provided by SU.

    STUDENT UNION PROPOSALS

    SU Jan 2016 took the ini a ve to document some of the needs of student community which require greaternancial support externally in order to seek nancial support and create references to the future student union

    commi ees to con nue the work. SU presented proposals for Korea house renova on, SU Café renova on, SUGym renova on and Sport facili es development. As result of these proposals, SU Gym will receive newequipment near soon. It is expected to see the commencement of renova on work of some sport facili es andKorea house. A pla orm has been created for future student unions to follow up and con nue this un nishedwork. SU is thankful to AIT administra on and OFAM for the support given in this regard.

    IMPROVEMENT OF SITTING AREA IN FRONTOF LAWSON 108

    The con nuous appeal of Student Union to improve thesi ng area in front of Lawson 108 resulted in installa on ofthree sets new wooden tables and chairs. SU is thankful toOFAM for the kind support and coopera on given in thisregard.

    GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR JANUARY 2016 SEMESTER The 1 st General Assembly (GA) Mee ng for theJanuary 2016 semester was held on 20 th January2016 at Korea House from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM.There are 29 GA members from country associa onsand eld of studies, who registered in January 2016Semester. Twenty two out of twenty nine GAmembers showed their presence in the mee ng. The1st GA mee ng was conducted as per the following

    agenda, The SU President, Mr. Jayasingam Adhuran,delivered the welcome speech to GA Members andupdated the GA Members regarding ini a ves takenby SU team, future plans of SU Team and updatesfrom Student Union O ce. The approval ofproposed commi ee members and budgets of commi ees were approved by GA followed by a bu et. On thesecond half of the mee ng, the representa ve students raised their issues and discussed with SU President.The mee ng was then adjourned with a group photo of all SU team members along with the GA members.

    SU TEAM MEETS THE AIT PRESIDENT

    The newly approved Student Union team was invited to the management mee ng held on 21 st January in theAdministra on building. In this mee ng the SU team was introduced to the AIT president by the SU president.Several important student issues were discussed in this mee ng.

    Student Rela ons Commi ee (SRC) mee ng for the January 2016semester was held in Administra on building on 9 th February2016 under the patronage of Ambassador of Pakistan H.E. Dr.

    Sohail Khan. Represen ng students of the campus, student unionteam was present at this mee ng. Several academic and nonacademic issues and possible solu ons for these issues werediscussed in this mee ng.

    MEETING WITH NIDA

    It is that semester where we get to represent AIT withour very old good friends at NIDA on AIT -NIDA sportsday. NIDA will be hos ng AIT on the 20th of August for

    this 1 day event. Last year, AIT hosted NIDA and wasable to win the overall compe on and retained therunning trophy. The event will comprise of 7 sportsevents: Badminton (Singles & Doubles), Table Tennis(Singles & Doubles), Football (8 a side), Volleyball (Male& Female), Men’s Basketball, Chairball and Tug of War.

    A er the sports events, performances from AIT & NIDAstudents will take place, followed by dinner hosted byNIDA Student’s Union.
