Supper will be included in each meal kit Monday - Friday at both meal service times. Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper meals for Saturday & Sunday will be available with Friday's meal kit at all Twin Rivers School Meals 2 Go locations.

All children 18 years old and younger are able to receive a FREE breakfast, lunch, and supper each day; no paperwork or ID is necessary.

McKinney-Vento Act

Homeless assistance act requires children and youth in homeless situations to be identified and receive appropriate services. Homeless children or youth are students who lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence. This applies to children and unaccompanied youth who are sharing housing of other persons, those living in motels, shelters, campsites and transitional housing.

All students between 6 and 18 years of age are required to attend school. Parents have a legal responsibility to ensure their child’s attendance.

Foster Youth Services The purpose of Foster Youth Services (FYS) is to provide advocacy and direct services for

students living in foster care designed to increase academic engagement and achievement.

Foster Youth Services

LCFF Definition: ● A child or youth who is living at home while a dependent of the court as

well as children who have been placed into protective custody.● A child or youth who is declared a ward of the court due to the child’s

violation of certain criminal laws AND has been ordered by a court to be removed from home.

● A youth between ages 18 and 21 who is enrolled in high school, is a non-minor dependent under the placement responsibility of child welfare, probation, or a tribal organization (Extended Foster Care AB 12)

Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) Mission

The Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) grant is

state funded through Proposition 56 and 99, which

allocates funds to school districts to provide programs to

educate, mitigate and prevent youth tobacco use and

potential pathways to other harmful substances such as

alcohol, drugs and prescription medication.
