In this beginning course students learn to recognize the elements and principles of design and use them in a variety of art media and techniques. Students are provided with opportunities to work in the studio areas of drawing, painting, collage, book arts, sculpture, and printmaking. The course includes the four problem-solving areas of art: art criticism, aesthetics, art history, and art production. There is a $5.00 lab fee for this class
