The Big Picture

Page 2

How It Works

1. You start with the Big Picture on pg 2 to understand where and how

your child fits into the Student Laptop Program.

2. You review the program details and the two laptop purchase plans (see

pg 4 and 5).

3. You review the “Configure My Laptop” plan on pg 6.

4. You compare all available plans on pg 7.

5. You sign up for a plan of your choice (no later than November 30, 2009)

using the web form or the paper form.

6. For Laptop Purchase Plan, Woodstock procures the laptop and

configures it for school use. Your child receives their ready-to-connect

laptop when they return for Spring 2010 semester on February 8, 2010.

The school charges the laptop purchase (and the one-time set up fee) to

your Woodstock account.

7. For Configure-My-Laptop Plan, your child drops their laptop off for

configuration after they return for Spring semester (in Feb 2010). Your

child receives their ready-to-connect laptop by March 15, 2010.

Configure My Laptop Plan

If you are in Grades 10, 11, or 12 and already own a laptop, then you may

want to consider the “Configure My Laptop” plan. To qualify, you must have

a Windows-based laptop which is less than 12-months old. For a one-time

set up fee of Rs. 5,000/- we will configure your laptop and make it ready-to-

connect to the school network.

Got Questions?

Q. Do I have to sign-up for the Student Laptop Program?

A. Yes, if you are a Grade 10 or 11 student, you have to sign up either for a

laptop purchase plan or for the Configure-My-Laptop plan.

Q. What if I don’t bother signing up by November 30, 2009?

A.You will automatically be placed in the Silver Plan and the laptop will be

purchased in your behalf.

Q. What is this one-time set up fee?

A. The one-time set up fee provides (1) on-site support from a resident Dell

engineer, (2) expanded internet access at 12 Mbps speeds, (3) Wi-fi all across

the campus, and (4) initial configuration of your laptop.

Q. Will I have to pay any ongoing fees for this?
