7.Applicant’s Final Classification
The assessment, classification and sorting order process is calculated by Portal das Escolas, using
an applicant’s placement algorithm (initial allocation) taking into account the preferences the
applicant stated and the applicable rules: age (if applicable), minimum grades, vacancies, final
grade.
Age limit:
Recommended Age* Maximum Age
Level 5 99** 99
** “99” means that there is no age limit for Level 5 Programmes; assessment and vacancy
allocation with be done according to grades and preferences.
The number of applicants vis-a-vis the number of vacancies available to each programme/class
will determine the eventual elimination of applicants in this 1st phase.
For the School Year 2019/2020, the applicants will be sujct to a grade from 1 to 20. All those
whose final results are less than 10 (ten) out of 20 (twenty) will be excluded.
8.Results Publication
The applicant is informed of the grade in the personal area of Portal.
After grades are made public, the initial allocation of applicants begins (only for those who score a
10 or higher) taking into account each grade. In this first placement the vacancies are allocated
taking the combined grades obtained both in the exam and the personal interview.
A Second Assessment will be performed if any vacancies are left.
Student Admission Guidelines and Regulations 2019.2020
Vocational Training Direction | Educational and Innovation Department 9
Thus, 2nd Phase is addressed to following applicants’ profiles:
All those who DID NOT APPLY in the 1st phase;
All those who NOT HAVING BEEN allocated in a vacancy in the 1st phase, with a paid
application and grade of 10 or higher, can, in this case, opt for one the following
conditions:
- reapply with the grade of the 1st phase (no need for new exams and no need
for a new application payment)
- apply to a new set of exam and personal interview (subject to a new
application fee)
* This procedure is performed by the team of Portal das Escolas after the date set for the 2nd phase and will be done if
and when asked by the applicants or the schools.
9. Exam Revision
During the recruitment and assessment process there will be NO REVISION of exam’s results or
interview repetition, except in the most particular of cases, duly justified and subject to previous
authorisation by The Training and Vocational Direction of Turismo de Portugal.
10. Enrollment
Enrollments are done online by Portal das Escolas, or locally at our schools, in very special cases.
Enrollments are confirmed through Multibanco payment and by presenting / scanning the
following:
Identification Document – Citizen’s Card or Identification Card (to present at the moment of
the interview)
School Degree Certificate
Vaccination

In special cases, a Social Support process, duly filled out, can be started
After enrollment the last step of the process starts – the final allocation of vacancies,
according to those effectively registered and paid; if vacancies persist, these will benefit
those applicants who, having fixed their previously chosen programme can still be placed in
their chosen option.
