MORE COMFORTWITH THE 3S EISGRAT-BAHN CABLE CARThe longest 3S lift in the Alps, the Eisgrat cable car has been in operation since October 2016. The particularly wind-stable lift has 48 cabins, each holding 32 passen-gers. IMPORTANTINFORMATIONTHE HAZARDS OF THE MOUNTAINSIn spite of their fascinating beauty the moun-tains can also be highly dangerous. The haz-ards include crevasses in the ice, avalanches, snowstorms, sudden fog, and even exposure to strong sunlight.
++++ Outside of the marked and open downhill slopes you are in areas which are not secured for skiing, and are solely responsible for your own safety.
++++ You are in high Alpine, glaciated terrain where there is a high risk of avalanches. The right equipment and knowledge about Alpine hazards are essential.
++++ Before going off-piste you should always check on the current avalanche situation.
++++ If there is a risk of avalanches, downhill slopes have to be closed to skiers. If there is an alarm please follow the instructions of the mountain rescue team or the cable car personnel. In an emergency you should make an SOS call (emergency number 0043 5226 8141 160).
++++ Please stay well away from areas which are cordoned off. Look out for warning notices (avalanche hazard and crevasses in the ice) and the orange warning lights next to the panorama boards.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICEIn the event that you witness a sports accident, please ad-minister FIRST AID immediately. Secure the accident site and contact the Emergency Medical Service.

PISTE MAINTENANCE SERVICEAll slopes which are open on the Stubai Glacier are treated every night, and if snow falls in the morning once more. Preparing the slopes during operation could result in skiers collid-ing with snow groomers. During the day, only trips that are “necessary for operation” are permitted. This does not include subsequent preparation. Please pay attention to the warning lights and horn of the snow groomer, and stay at a safe distance from it. We apologise for any in-convenience should there be fresh snow during the day resulting in bumps.
SKIING PISTESMarked, checked, prepared and secured against atypical hazards, in particular avalanches.

NATURAL SNOWDue to the high proportion of natural snow, the slopes can change slightly over the course of the day. On the other hand, there’s significantly more enjoyment in skiingon natural snow, with its good traction.
CABLE WINCH PREPARATION This indicates that the piste is being groomed by cable winch, i.e. where the cable which secures the maintenance vehicle crosses the piste. Please watch out for the exclusion zones!
Ski slopes are closed every day from 4.30 pm to 8.00 am. There is no hazard protection during this time! Please be aware that piste maintenance activities can cause injury due to heavy equipment, such as snow cats, snow cannons, lane grooves, winch cables or exposed cables and hoses of the snow-making vehicles.
ARTIFICIAL SNOWPlease stay well clear of the snow production facility and the snow guns. Please note that your vision could be impaired close to snow guns, and the quality of the snow may vary.
