About BhopalBhopal is the capital of Madhya Pradesh state and well
known worldwide as “The City of Lakes”. It is well
connected to various parts of country by Road, Rail and
Air. The institute is located at a distance of around
seven kilometres from Bhopal railway station and
twenty Kilometres from the airport.
About the Institute
Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology
(MANIT), Bhopal is an Institute of National
Importance and one of the proficient engineering
institutes of India which contributed many
outstanding professionals for India and abroad.
MANIT was named after the great scholar,
educationist and the first education minister of
Government of India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
This Institute was established in the year
1960. At present , the institute is conducting Nine
Under Graduate, twenty Nine Post Graduate
programs and Ph.D. programmes in all the
disciplines of engineering and applied sciences and
also conducting M.B.A programme with the help of
about 200 knowledgeable faculty members.

About the department
Department of Mechanical Engineering came into
existence in the year 1960. The department has
more than thirty five qualified and dedicated faculty
members with specializations in various areas of
mechanical engineering. Department of Mechanical
Engineering is offering five M.Tech programmes
and Ph.D programmes. The department has state of
the art laboratories equipped with latest software and
equipments.
About the ProgrammeSynonym to System Integrator, Industrial Engineer
is a big-picture thinker, in other words. A
professional who takes what exists today and
conceptualizes what should exist in the future. Many
people are misled by the term “Industrial Engineer.”
The word 'Industrial” does not mean just
manufacturing. It encompasses wide span of
industries ranging from FMCG, IT & System,
Consultancy, Banking & Financial Institution and
Telecom. With era of management growing from
Scientific Principles to Strategic Concept companies
adopt management philosophies of continuous
productivity and quality improvement to survive in
the increasingly competitive world market, the need
