Birth name is unknown Got the name “red shoes” by slaying many in

war, he was known as the war captain. On June 23, 1747 he developed a sickness and

slept apart from the rest of his tribesmen. One man looked over him while he slept and it was said that he was killed by this man in the middle of the night.

His ship mysteriously was lost at sea

Born in 1528 His family was Christian His interests included astrology, fortune

telling and practiced medicine He was an Azorean priest. Busted for using magic and decided to join

the Jesuits in 1555 He abandoned the Jesuits a year later.
