Where are we are currently?

Where are we are currently? Widely distributed networks

◦ Can now connect with others◦ Lots more data◦ Quit throwing data out there and not doing

anything with it◦ Problems cannot be solved within 140 characters◦ Apps are not the end solution◦ Not ALL Citizens are software developers – how

can we make the data meaningful to those we are not internet savvy!

More of a sense of new business opportunities Then open source movement– how can we

reduce the amount of RFPs that are calling for the same or similar solutions across and inside the same agencies?

Shorter gap between government and startups – they need to see the need.

Government needs to be sexy to innovators Giving it all away for free --- answers?? Problem is hiring drupal developers – see rock
