Principles of Risk Based Food Sampling
Food sampling plan is element of multi-annual national control plan (Art. 41 regulation 882/2004/EC
Specific programs do not only plan yearly (half-yearly, quarterly, trimester and short ranged programs)
Only planned samples are considered:
Kind of food
Aim of analysing
Level of taking samples as well as
Analysing parameters
Capacities for sampling and analysing in case of specific incidences
Analysis related to specific product risks
Considering inspection results
Risked Based Procedure for Sampling and Analysing
To be considered:
Identified risks (systematically, scientifically based, BfR, EFSA)
Feed or Food business operators‘ past record as regards compliance with specific laws
Reliability of any own check systems
Any information that might indicate non-compliance
Control Staff according to art. 6 regulation no. 882/2004/EC
