Strategic Area 3: Capacity Development, Human Resources and Operational Support

3.1 Develop a capacity strengthening strategy, taking into account GNC and non-GNC training initiatives and the training needs.

3.2 Clarify respective roles and responsibilities for capacity development in nutrition sector, map nutrition capacity development actors (matrix which shows hierarchy and levels of training) to identify response gaps

3.3 Document lessons learning of existing training by GNC and others at national level

3.4 Establish repository on GNC website of training materials and models for capacity building in different scenarios

3.5 Map human resource capacity and define related training needs

3.6 Establish minimum staffing structure for nutrition cluster at global and country level to include Capacity Strengthening officer

3.7 Establish functional Rapid Response Team for nutrition coordination and technical areas (CMAM, IYCF and Information)

3.8 Support recruitment and mentoring of Country Cluster Coordinators and Information Management staff

3.9 Provide operational support to newly activated cluster countries as well as existing ones
