TERRIFIC KIDS
At the end of last term the winners of the Term 2 Kiwanis Terrific Kids
Award were announced.
A Terrific Kid needs to be:
THOUGHTFUL ENTHUSIASTIC
RESPECTFUL RESPONSIBLE
INFLUENTIAL FRIENDLY
IMPECCABLE CARING
These qualities align really closely with the characteristics and attitudes of
the IB Learner Profile. The characteristics we expect IB students to display
are those of a person who is an inquirer, knowledgeable, a thinker, a
communicator, open minded, balanced, principled, reflective and caring.
The attitudes that support these characteristics are appreciation,
commitment, curiosity, empathy, enthusiasm, independence, integrity,
respect and tolerance.
Congratulations to Anthony Grotto, Chloe Kahland and Sunè Myburgh,
they are outstanding ambassadors for our school and they approach all
aspects of school life in a balanced, considerate and enthusiastic manner.
WELCOME TO OUR NEW STUDENTS
We welcome new students and their families to Stradbroke School. They
have settled in really well.
Tomas Porini Gonzalez, Francisco Porini Gonzalez, Angelica Chia and Aidan

well on such a cold morning. Special mentions to those
students who displayed great sportsmanship by playing a
quarter for the other team ensuring everyone got to play a
full game, and keep warm! Big congratulations to those
students who have kicked their first goal so far this season,
including Bailey Wilson, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Eden
Henderson, who kicked 2 goals against the Knights. Many
people are commenting on the spirit and good manner in

What people are saying… What a relief to come across a program that preserves the
dignity of the child, maintains the self-control of both the
parent and the child and is actually easy to remember when
memory is the first thing to go!
I realized quickly that the 1-2-3 Magic can be a magnificent
preventative measure that any parent can use to avoid
raising a child, who later down the line, needs excessive
discipline or grows out of control.
Who is running it?
The presenter for this course is Christina Sapio who
completed Parentshop’s 1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion
Coaching practitioner training on 27th October 2014
