Christ be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to God. Let us give our thanks to the Holy One. It is right to give our thanks and praise. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise.

It is a good and joyful thing to give thanks to you, Almighty God, creator of heaven and earth. You formed us in your image and breathed into us the breath of life. When our love failed, your love remained steadfast. When captive to fear and oppression, You made covenant to be our sovereign God, brought us to a land flowing with milk and honey, and set before us the way of life. By your great mercy we have been born anew to a liv-ing hope through the resurrection of your Son from the dead and to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. Now, as your people, we boldly declare your wonderful deeds in Christ, who called us to freedom, life, and wholeness. By your Spirit keep us in Christ, unite us to one another and to all the world, sustain the sick and comfort the dying, strengthen all who minister in your name, lift us from doubt and despair, and lead us at last to your heavenly ban-quet. Through your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in your holy Church, all honor and glory is yours, almighty Father (God), now and forever. And so, with your creatures on earth and all the heavenly chorus, we praise your name and join their unending hymn: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. Holy are you, and holy is your child, Jesus Christ, who walked among us from Galilee to Jerusalem and who continues to live in us today, showing us your face in the faces of those whose feet we wash and in your power of love to heal all things. On the night in which he gave himself up, Jesus took bread, broke it, saying: “Take, eat, all of you. This is my body, broken for you. Whenever you eat it, do so in remembrance of me.” After supper, he took the cup, saying: “This is the cup of the new covenant, poured out for the healing of the world. Whenever you drink it, do so in remembrance of me.” And so, in remembrance of your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we proclaim the mystery of faith. Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. Pour out your Holy Spirit on us, and on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be the body of Christ to a world that is aching and yearning to be made whole. Teacher of Truth, Wellspring of Love, Source of Compassion, we praise your healing, gracious name. Amen.
