WHAT’S GOING ON THIS WEEK?
This week we started working with our
math curriculum. Our first unit focuses onfluency and computation. We are learning
different strategies to help us with our
multiplication and division facts. Look for
math homework coming home each day.
We also started our first IB Planner,
titled The Human Machine. We started off by
tracing our bodies and drawing all we knew
about different systems of the body. We then
focused our inquiry on the digestive system
and measured our digestive systems.
We also started spelling this week.
Each Monday, we will do a pre-test so that
students know which words they need to
study. We will also be spending 15-20 minutes
each day throughout the week working on our
spelling words in some way.
We are still working together every
day to establish a positive community in our
classroom. Thanks for your understandingwith my early absence, It’s good to be back.
Have a great week!
