Job Description (Social Worker)There are 4 Social Workers Total. 3 FT one PT• One MSW. It’s not required to be an MSW nor to be licensed. Because of the regulations, at Stonehill there needs to be at least one person with a social work degree or years in social work experience.
Descriptions vary• Sheila and Jessica work with long term care meeting their psychosocial needs, doing their assessments, 1:1s, family meetings. • Rachel does discharge planning for our skilled residents, 1:1s with the residents, and assessments. She also manages the social services staff.
My Job Description (Life Enhancement Coordinator) • Started out as a Social Services Intern.• Became an Activities Intern.• Got offered a part-time job working with Activities• Became a Life Enhancement Coordinator
So What Do I Do?• Recruit residents for activities• Weekly Schedule (Monthly Calendar)
Tuesdays-Scrabble, Wednesdays-Music or Craft, Thursday-Music or Bingo.
Games Such as Bunco, Farkle, or Euchre are played through out the week.
1:1’s I did everyday before and after our main activity.

What Have I Enjoyed? Would I Recommend This Work Placement? • I’ve always loved working with this population. It’s challenging but rewarding. • I’ve enjoyed taking the residents to the activities and spending time with them. A smile on there face is more than rewarding. • I would recommend this job position to anyone. Even if this population isn't the one you are most comfortable with.
