Dear Madam or Sir,

I am writing this letter to recommend Allison Millea for a teaching position. I am

currently Allisons Supervising Teacher from Drake University.

There are many reasons why I believe Allison would be an asset to your teaching staff.

She demonstrates excellent leadership skills in the classroom. She is well organized and

paces lessons appropriately. While she shows a calm and professional demeanor, she also

motivates and communicates well with students. She appears to be very comfortable withstudents and they respond well to her directions and suggestions.

I have observed Allison in a high school reading/English position at Valley High School

in West Des Moines Public Schools. I have been impressed with the detailed lesson plansand innovative strategies Allison is currently implementing with her students. She is a

very reflective teacher in that she continually examines her teaching practices in order tohelp students learn.
