STIGA Sports AB, a global company with partners in over 100 countries, has been a world leader in the sport of table tennis for over 60 years.

For more than half a century STIGA blades have been world renowned as the best. During this time, STIGA has continued to rein-force its position as the innovative leader in table tennis blade production. STIGA has done this by starting with the fi nest raw materials, maintaining the highest standard of quality, and by continuously investing in research and development of new blades and new manufacturing technologies.

Throughout the years that STIGA has been manufacturing table tennis blades, our company has accumulated an enormous amount of skill, expertise and knowledge. Through our close coopera-tion with several world class players and coaches, STIGA has always identifi ed players evolving needs. With our years of experience, STIGA’s wood tech-nicians have always been able to pro-duce blades to meet these needs.

In the past few years alone, STIGA has introduced many new blade technolo-gies: WRB, CR, Oversize, 13 layer Carbo, TUBE, Crystal, Nano Composite Tech-nology etc.

The profi ciency of STIGA’s R & D department, combined with state of the art manufacturing procedures, makes it possible for STIGA to con-stantly provide new, innovative and unsurpassed products. The combination of the fi nest wood and craftsmanship make STIGA’s blades the best that nature can offer.

We are very proud that STIGA has signed a 10 year agreement with The Swedish National Table Tennis Team! The agreement is valid from the 1st of July 2003 and

will run until 2013-12-31 (in fact 10,5 years). The Swedish Team is probably the most famous table tennis team in the World, together with China, and we are sure this will be a great promotion of the STIGA brand all over the World!

We will work very closely with The Swedish Table Tennis Association in order to grow the table tennis sport in Sweden and to make sure that Sweden will continue to be one of the leading table tennis teams in the World.

Carbon fi ber makes a blade faster and gives it a larger sweet spot. Unfor-tunately, it can also add weight and make a blade stiffer, thus reducing ball feel. However, our CarboSoft technology lets us create a blade that has the advantages of carbon without the disadvantages.

The Optimum CARBO combi-nes five plies of premium wood with four ultra-thin layers of carbon fiber to create the fastest blade in STIGA’s Optimum family. Similar to the Optimum PLUS in construction, but stiffer with a larger sweet spot, the Optimum CARBO is built for speed.

Like STIGA’s other Optimum blades, the Optimum CARBO features Crystal Technology to harden the surface of the blade surface thus increasing speed and performance. Gluers will appreciate the sealed surface of the Optimum CARBO when changing rubber on a regular basis.

The Optimum SEVEN turns the traditional seven-ply blade formula inside out. Our engineers learned long ago that if you do things the same way that everyone else does, you will get the same results. STIGA’s recently introduced Optimum SYNC blade, with Crystal Technology, has gratifyingly become very popular. While most players who try it, love it, a few have requested a faster blade. As we always do our best to listen to our customers, we are very happy to present the member of our Crystal Technology line: the Optimum PLUS.

The Optimum PLUS is a five-ply blade that uses the same outer plies as the best-selling STIGA Offensive Classic blade. It is faster than the Optimum SYNC, although the Optimum SYNC is a bit lighter. Thanks to Crystal Technology, the Optimum PLUS is much lighter than most blades of a similar speed.

The Allround Classic is the first blade manufac-tured by STIGA. Since its introduction in 196�, it has been used by many world champions. For over 40 years, and still today, the Allround Classic blade is one of the best selling blades. Offensive Classic

After the worldwide success of the STIGA Allround Classic (introduced in 196�), STIGA decided to create a blade specifically desig-ned for the more aggressive player. STIGA Extreme Booster is a VOC-free liquid made from oil and rubber that when applied to the rubber’s sponge and surface creates a strong and powerful glue effect. STIGA Ex-treme Booster by itself is not sticky at all and therefore needs to be used with glue (such as STIGA Attach Power Glue).

You apply STIGA Extreme Booster to the rubber’s sponge before it is attached to the blade. Depending on how much effect you want, you can apply the treatment (the wet cloth on the sponge) for one, two, or three hours. You should wait for approximately one hour after the treatment before you apply glue.

You can also apply STIGA Extreme Booster directly to the surface of the rubber. STIGA Extreme Booster will make the rubber sur-face expand and create high tension within the surface. STIGA Extreme Booster does not need as long preparation time as other similar products on the market, but still has a strong long-lasting effect. The effect is a little different from freshly speed-glued rub-ber. Spin, speed, sound, and catapult effect are all very good.

STIGA Extreme booster is VOC-free, does not contain any illegal substances, and meets the new ITTF regulations and testing requirements.

We recommend STIGA Extreme Booster for use with all STIGA rubber. Rubber sheets prepared with STIGA Extreme Booster will feel almost identical to freshly speed-glued rubber, and this feeling will be maintained for eight to twelve days, depen-ding on how much play. Please note that the maximum thickness of a rubber can be 4.0 mm according to the ITTF rules.

STIGA’s Air-Capsule System (ACS) has become a huge success all over the world, with fi ve extremely popular rubber sheets: Magna, Innova Premium, Innova, Innova Ultra Light, and Radical. In all these rubber sheets the ACS technology is applied to the sponge, and allows for very high speed to be combi-

ned with maximum springiness/elasticity in an ultra light rubber with outstanding control.

Now STIGA’s R&D department has found a way to improve the top sheet. This Mega Tension Technology improves the top sheet, and combined with the improvements to the sponge provided by the Air-Capsule System, creates an even more responsive rubber sheet with more tension. The result of this

technology – Mega Tension – have so far been amazing!

This feat creates more tension without increasing the weight of the rubber, causing quicker rubber recovery.

The Optimum 30 is the fi rst table with a 30 mm thick top. As aconsequence, the evenness and consistency of the ball rebound is unparalleled. The top is pre-treated multiple times and then coated with a special varnish to give just the right amount of gloss and the ideal frictional coeffi cient. The result is the truest possible bounce, even when balls are spun at the highest level. The white lines are care-fully printed on using silk screening for an even result.

The Optimum 30 features a new metal undercarriage that has been specially developed to guarantee the most consistent ball rebound. Even though the 30 mm top is heavier than thinner

tops, computer-aided design of the undercarriage and sup-porting legs has neutralized the extra weight, so the table is easy to set up or put away. When the table is set up for playing, patented connectors join the two halves to ensure perfect

alignment.

The heel is under extreme pressure[4] during play and to support the heel we have mixed many materials to give you the optimum heel sup-port during play.

Our engineer continued with the unique design of this shoe – on the side of the shoe we have strategically placed 8 air mesh parts[5] that allows the feet to breath and evacuate moisture.

The toe part has an extra support on the top[6] to make sure that the shoe string does not change during your play.

An asymmetrical heel design[7] provides a very stable and strong support combined with comfortable padding. A perfect padding in the heel part[8] ena-bles you to play long and hard games in your STIGA shoe.

The inner part in light grey[1] is not only good looking, it is also a padded and form shaped textile that will hold your foot in the right place all the time during play.

The blue metallic stripes on the side, catch your eye[2]. But they are not only there to catch your eye, the stripes are placed there to give your foot stability in side-way movements.

On the outside of the toe[3] you will find Alumesh, a material that will help to evacuate moisture from the shoe. The four alumesh parts also give an elegant touch to the shoes design.

Extra support on the inside of the toe part[4] provides comfort and durability.

The outer sole also has a specially designed pattern[5] that can be compa-red to a car tyre. This makes sure that you will have maximum grip in all directions. As a player you will know that grip is sometimes the difference between wining or loosing.

In the middle part of the outer sole we have put our “STIGA Shock Absorb Module”[6]. It has a special material that gives maximum support under the whole foot and softly absorbs vibrations that can hurt the foot. The “STIGA Shock Absorb Module” also links the front part with the back part of the shoe.

The heel part of the shoe has a modified pattern[7] to make sure that you will get maximum support on the special movement that can appear when you use the heel. It is also extra supported with material that absorbs the energy from your movements.
