Review Syllables.Compound WordsPicture Cards (Sample: cook, book; cat, fish; eye, ball; horse,
shoe; sun, flower; yard, sticks; bed, post.Ask students to say each picture name, then say them

Students should tell how the meaning of the word is different from the meaning of each separate word, cook and book.
Repeat with other Picture Cards to make compound words.
