months. Both greyhounds trialled to the satisfaction of Stewards, and were cleared to resume

racing.

Stewards permitted SUPER DOOPER – Race 12 No. 9, to compete under GAR 39(2). The greyhound last

started on 6/5/20 at the weight of 24.0kgs, and was presented today at 22.5kgs.

ANGEL’S SHARE( 1 ) raced wide soon after the start, checking CHARLIE’S GIRL( 3 ), TO SEE MANDY( 6 ), and SKETCHY ZARA( 9 ), with CHARLIE’S GIRL( 3 ) losing ground from this incident, checking MAMA SILLAT( 2 ) and PRE DECIMAL( 4 ). SKETCHY ZARA( 9 ) raced wide approaching the turn into the back straight, hampering TO SEE MANDY( 6 ). PRE DECIMAL( 4 ) was checked off the heels of TO SEE MANDY( 6 ), approaching the turn out of the back straight, losing ground. SKETCHY ZARA( 9 ) checked LIFE’S MYSTERY( 8 ) in the home straight, WHERE PRE DECIMAL( 4 ), raced wide. Stewards had concerns with the actions of LIFE’S MYSTERY( 8 ) approaching the winning post, however were unable to substantiate these concerns from either the lateral or head on viewing of the replay, with the Finish Lynx print of the greyhounds crossing the finish line, also inconclusive. The winner of this event LUCK AND FUN( 7 ) was locked away for a Urine Sample to be obtained at the Direction of Stewards.

GUNNEDAH GIRL( 4 ) and WILD SAIL( 7 ) were slow to begin. GUNNEDAH GIRL( 4 ) was checked off the heels of WACKY SPORT( 3 ) soon after the start, losing ground. WACKY SPORT( 3 ), KING COLIN( 5 ), and GRANDANA QUALITY( 6 ), came together at the first turn, with GRANDANA QUALITY( 6 ) losing ground, hampering GUNNEDAH GIRL( 4 ). Stewards spoke to the handler of HE’S DEADLY( 8 ) regarding the delay in boxing the greyhound. Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Mr Miller, and took no further action other than to issue a reprimand. CRYING PAW( 2 ) was checked off the heels of LADY MIMCO( 4 ) approaching the turn into the back straight, losing ground. NANA DENISE( 3 ) and WESTROCK OUTLAW( 6 ) came together at the turn in to the back straight, when racing at the rear of the field, both losing ground, with NANA DENISE( 3 ) worst affected, commencing to tail out. SPEED MACHINE( 7 ) eased approaching the home turn, hampering CHOSEN ONE( 1 ), causing both runners to lose ground. NANA DENISE( 3 ) was vetted and was found to be injured off side back muscle, and to have lacerated the off side fore leg. 14 Days Incapacitation Certificate

issued. SPEED MACHINE( 7 ) was vetted with no incapacitation period imposed. With regards to the actions of SPEED MACHINE( 7 ) approaching the home turn, Stewards invoked GAR 69A(1) for failing to pursue the lure. As this was the greyhounds first offence, SPEED MACHINE( 7 ) was suspended at The Gardens for 28 days, and is required to perform a satisfactory trail prior to re-nomination, per GAR 69A(2)(a).
