While it’s more expensive to make thesemodifications to an existing home than it is toincorporate them into a new one, the expenseis far less than the cost of moving into anassisted living facility.

What is an EasyLiving Homecm?
An EasyLiving Home is a new homeconstructed with a certain number ofaccessibility features to make the homevisitable and easy to live in. The inclusion ofthese features is voluntary and is designedto make the process simple but effective.
The EasyLiving Home is not onlyeasy to live in, it’s also:

So, why is it so difficult for people tounderstand and / or accept the concept, practicality, and implementation of UniversalDesign?
• Knowledge - They don’t know what it is
• Misperception - it’s going to look institutional
• Denial - They don’t need it and never will
• Pride – Too proud to admit limitations oraccept help
• Embarrassment
• Financial – They think they can’t afford it
