lengths of electrical conduit (along with two ropes attached to the top and staked from behind the bucket for added support). It supports the opposite end of a 40 meter length of 14 gauge wire. Also notice the balun just below the 10' length that is supported from the bed of the truck.This arrangement worked great for all bands except 80 and 160. Most of my contacts were on 80, but my signal was weak and I really had to work hard to get through pileups. My rig was an IC-7000 and an AT-7000 tuner from LDG.

… work 38 Virginia cities/ counties, …got credit for 9 more because I made at least 10 QSOs from those and 24 states.
