Aaron’s magic village

In this film we can see the different stereotypes between women and men

The woman is in her house doing houseworks, for example: cleaning, cooking… She doesn’t appear going out in the street or going to meetings.  In this case, her only one objective is to find a husband and to be at his service. The men can perform all kind of jobs, for example: shoemaker, fishmonger, blacksmith, modiste … The last one, usually is a job that women do but in this case, the men do it.

The basic idea of some films like this, is to continue teaching the same women stereotype: housewife with only a worry, It’s her husband. These kinds of films should cause worry because are directed to the children, they are very receptives and they can grow up with this thinking: Girls working in their houses and boys working for to get money.

The whole number of characters is 15. 4 characters are women while 11 are men. The housewife is wearing an apron. It is representing her job: to keep the order in the house; to clean, cook… Her role is less intelligent. The repercussion is women are saved by men.

The role of the man is brave, intelligent, adventurer, daring… He is the ‘hero’. The repercussion is men are winner and rescuer.

Besides she knows to clean and she has sense of the order because she is who puts the order in dwarfs house and instead of teaches them how they must do it, she does it for them.

The prince only appears at the beginning or the end of the film for to save SnowWhite and to break the charm.
