To all STEPS Elite Lacrosse program players and parents: Congratulations on being selected to participate in the STEPS Elite Team Program! The mission of the STEPS Elite program is to provide an opportunity for the dedicated athlete to advance their individual and team skills in preparation for high school and collegiate lacrosse. Directions to Black River Fields, Chester NJ: For GPS: 133 North Rd. Chester NJ 07930
From the NORTH: From State Highway 10, about seven miles west of Interstate 287,take County Road 513, known as Dover-‐Chester Road, heading SOUTH. After about 5 to 6 miles, you will pass Black River Wildlife Area on your right. Note that at Chester town line, County Route 513 becomes known as North Road. After the Wildlife Area ends, fields will be on your right. From the NORTHWEST: Take U.S. Highway 206 heading SOUTH. When you reach Main Street in Chester, you will see Puddingstone Inn restaurant on your right at a traffic light. Take a left at the traffic light onto Route 24, also known as Main Street. After a short distance, there will be another intersection with a traffic light and a sign for County Route 513, also known as North Road, heading straight ahead through the light for about another mile. On the left you will pass Black River Middle School and a farmhouse, before coming to the Fields on your left. From the SOUTH: Take U.S. Highway 206 heading NORTH into Chester. Take a right at the traffic light onto Route 24, also known as Main Street. After a short distance, there will be another intersection with a traffic light and a sign for County Route 513, also known as North Road, go straight ahead through the light for about another mile. On the left you will pass Black River Middle School and a farmhouse, before coming to the Fields on your left. From the MORRISTOWN AREA and the EAST: Take Route 124 heading WEST from Morristown. (From Interstate I-‐287, take Madison Avenue toward Morristown, right onto South Street, around Morristown Green, right onto Washington Street, which is Route 124 heading out of town.) Road is Main Street through Mendham town center, and again becomes Main Street in Chester. At major intersection with traffic light about 11 miles west of Morristown, see sign for County Route 513, also known as North Road. Take Right onto North Road. Fields are about one mile down on left, after passing Black River Middle School and a farmhouse.

Yapp Information: STEPS has created personal "Yapp" applications for each individual team for the Summer 2015 Program. Yapp is a free, easy to use mobile application that can be downloaded on your iPhone, Smartphone, and even your iPad. WHAT YOUR YAPP FEATURES: -‐A Summer Schedule that includes practice and tournament information-‐ dates, times, and locations. -‐A News Feed that players, parents, and coaches can add posts, news items, photos, traffic updates, practice or game cancellations, etc. Each time something is posted on the news feed, it will appear as a message notification on your cell phone(like an email), so you will see it as soon as it is posted. -‐ Pictures-‐ You can take photos using the app or upload and share any photos that you or your teammates take at practice, tournaments, games, or events (as long as they are appropriate!). -‐A Roster page, including each player on the team, their uniform number, parents names, and their contact info. -‐ Contact Information-‐ This includes your coaches' contact information, as well as STEPS Elite directors.
WHY USE YAPP? -‐Yapp will serve as a mini player handbook that fits in the palm of your hand! -‐It provides you with the complete summer schedule-‐saving you from having to check the STEPS Elite website. -‐Our goal is to provide you with important up-‐to-‐date information instantly when necessary. -‐It will allow players, coaches, and parents to have everyone’s contact information in one accessible place. -‐It is a way for teammates to interact and stay connected in and out of season.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD YAPP IN 4 EASY STEPS If you are new to the STEPS Elite Program: Step 1.) Go to the App Store or Android Market and search for "Yapp", and download it for free. Step 2.) Once downloaded, click the green strip at the bottom of the homepage where is says "Get Started". Step 3.) Click the blue strip at the bottom of the next page where it says "I've been Invited to a Yapp". Step 4.) The next screen will ask you for you to enter your name and your Yapp ID. This is the name that will show every time you post something. Your Yapp ID is listed below. Your Yapp will appear once you click ADD in the top right hand corner. *Please remember to turn on your Notification settings for Yapp on your mobile device so that each time a post is made, you will be notified.
If you already have Yapp downloaded on your phone, simply follow these steps: Step 1.) Open up your existing Yapp application. Step 2.) Click the green plus sign in the top right hand corner on your home page to add a team. Step 3.)
