Group Roles• There are 4 roles with many different formal
responsibilities• What does formal responsibilities mean?• Ex: The recorder will compile all the group members
research documents into one document that will be handed in to Ms. Boop by 11/13/12
• This project will be completed both in class and at home• Your project manager will communicate what your
task is for each day. • Your Time Keeper is going to make sure that you are
completing YOUR assigned task. • It is expected that you will fulfill your task at home if
that is what your group decides. NO EXCEPTIONS!
![Page 6: STEM Expo](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022082422/56813e2a550346895da80ad1/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
How will your group be formed?
• Your group will be based on your learning styles survey
• Each type of learner will be represented in your group• Knowing the type of learner you are, make
sure that you use those strengths of your group members
![Page 7: STEM Expo](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022082422/56813e2a550346895da80ad1/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
What will you do the FIRST day of meeting?
• Get in your group and share the type of learner you are
• Everyone has input on what group role that they wish to have
• For roles that there is more than one person wanting that role, then put the names of every person and randomly draw a name
• Read and sign group contract- This will be followed very strictly
• Project Manager will get all contact information for everyone and will copy this info down for EVERY group member

• Tri-fold constructed in class
• Tri-fold and model grade is a group grade that is worth 30% of overall grade
• Individual grades based on reflection paper about the engineering design process
Ms. Boop• Conduct research for
project
• Tri-fold information compiled in class
• Tri-fold and model grade is a group grade that is worth the same amount as a test.
• Individual grades based on group role and research
