Take the Metro to Rosslyn & Walk Across Key Bridge toThompson Boat CenterWhile it will take some time to walk between Rosslyn and the Thompson boatcenter the view from the Key Bridge gives you a good idea of where you will bekayaking. It is also an interesting view of Washington, DC.
Thompson Boat CenterYou'll be able to rent a kayak or stand-up paddle board. The water is typically prettycalm and you'll be able to take in nice views of Washington, DC.
Lunch at Tony & Joe's Seafood PlaceThere are a couple of places to eat along within the same area near the water. Ifthis place doesn't work there are other options.

Ride Bikes to National Zoo from WaterfrontThe Rock Creek trail is an oasis in the busy city, take the trail from Georgetown toWoodley Park and enjoy a nice alternative to get from the Waterfront to the NationalZoo. This ride should take between 20 to 30 minutes and it can easily be extendedby following the Rock Creek Trail further north.
