STAT!Ref

Installing the Mobile App & Setting Up Your User Account

Open the App Store

Type “stat!ref” into the search box & choose the result from the dropdown menu.

Tap the “Free” option next to STAT!Ref, and then tap the green “Install”

If prompted, enter your Apple ID password.

Tap the S! icon to open the app.

You will be taken to the following log in screen. In order to access STAT!Ref content from non-MCW

locations, it will be necessary to set up an account.

Return to your iPad’s desktop, and open Safari. (Your Safari icon may be located in a different place.)

Enter the following URL into Safari’s URL bar: www.mcw.edu/mcwlibraries.htm

Next, tap the “All E-Resources” link under the “Library Jumpstarts” column.

Then tap the “STAT!Ref” link on the alphabetical list.

If you are working from off-campus, you will be prompted to log on to the proxy server, using your MCW username and

password. (If you are on campus, you will skip this step.)

Tap the “I Accept” button on the End User License screen.

On the STAT!Ref homepage, tap the “My STAT!Ref” link in the upper right corner.

You will be taken to the login screen. Enter your MCW email address and choose the option for “No, I want to create a My STAT!Ref account.” Then

tap the “Log In/Create Account” button.

Fill in the required information to create you account. Remember to use your MCW email address. Tap the

“Create Account” button, and then tap “OK.”

You’ll automatically be taken into your account. Tap the tab for “Temporary Login Account.”

In order to use your STAT!Ref account to set up the STAT!Ref app, you will need to tap the “Activate/Renew” button.

You’ll see that your account is now active, with an expiration date.

Double tap the home button on your device, and tap the icon to return to the STAT!Ref app. You may now enter the user name

and password you just created and tap “Logon.”

You will need to tap “I Accept” on the End User License Agreement.

You will then be taken into the app.

You have completed the installation for this app!
