Statement from Thomas More College President David Armstrong:
The Thomas More College Community is extremely troubled by the allegations against RobMarshall. We are a values-based institution, and our thoughts and prayers go out to anybody
involved in this difficult situation.
At this time, I would like to clarify the following points based on what I now know:
Regarding Marshalls arrest, Thomas More College had absolutely no prior knowledge
of this investigation. The college did not become aware of the investigation until
Marshalls arrest on Wednesday.
At no time have investigating officers called into question Thomas More College or
Marshalls role as Campus Safety Director. To make any conjecture or speculation
between Marshalls role on our campus and the current charges is unfounded and
inappropriate.
Based on communication with the Covington Police Department this morning, Thomas
More College understands that Marshalls personal home computer was confiscated
from his Covington residence in January 2014.
Assistant Covington Police Chief Brian Steffen told us, Marshalls computer was
in the possession of a forensic examiner for the duration of that time while we

were awaiting results. There was never any evidence or indicators that
compelled us to broaden our investigation beyond his Covington residence.
Rob Marshall was hired in July of 1999. He was terminated on January 28, 2016. Any
other questions regarding Marshalls employment will not be addressed.
The TMC safety model consists of paid campus safety officers on duty 24 hours a day, sevendays a week. TMC is within the jurisdiction of the Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police
Department and our campus has had a positive long-standing relationship with the LPCH force.
Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police Chief Christopher Schutte said I could share the following
statement directly with you. Our officers patrol the campus and provide any necessary police
response. While our department works with multiple entities within TMC, including their safety
department, on a variety of issues, any law enforcement accountability is ours.
